Mackie is most likely joking around a little, but when asked about the recently released concept art for his character he says "I'm very disappointed! When you sign on to a superhero movie you want to be a superhero. You want spandex..you want that." He continues. "When I went into it I was like 'I want the wings, I want the bird (referring to Redwing), I want all this shit. Cos you want little kids to dress up like you". The interviewer points out that a comic faithful costume could have gone very wrong. "And I wanted it to go all the way wrong", Mackie replies with a luagh. "As cheesy as possible"

Coachella 2013: I Saw a Lot of Bands & I Probably Can't Go Back

Lindsey Best for AOL

I had a great time at Coachella this year, but I think it may be my last.

I saw Blur, Nick Cave, Tame Impala, James Blake, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Richie Hawtin play jaw-dropping sets. I caught a surprise appearance by R. Kelly instead of Daft Punk. I saw Wu-Tang reunite to share a lineup with the Stone Roses, New Order and OMD.

I watched groups of adults throw their glowsticks in and cheer for themselves, for having made the trip and for the festival, snaking through the crowd, holding hands like children, sitting in circles, passing around drinks.

CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER Draft Indicates ‘Marvel’s Best Movie,’ Says Ed Brubaker

Posted: 16 Apr 2013 09:23 AM PDT

While Paste Magazine caught up recently with Ed Brubaker, the comic book writer discussed Marvel's 2014 Captain America: The Winter Soldier adaptation. Having co-created the identity of the revived Bucky Barnes, which is thrown in the sequel's subtitle, Brubaker discussed how much he's been involved with the political thriller's production; which is currently filming in L.A.. "It's definitely out of my hands. [Laughs] But no, I got to go out to Marvel Studios a couple months ago and read one of the later drafts of the script. I went out to dinner with [directors Joe and Anthony Russo] and talked about the project and gave them feedback on what I liked or didn't like or what parts didn't work. I mean, the script I read was fucking fantastic. It was the best Marvel movie. It was really strange because [the script] feels like my comic while not really telling the

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson Teases Third Instalment Of G.I. JOE Franchise

Posted: 16 Apr 2013 09:18 AM PDT

In an interview with Collider, Dwayne Johnson has seemingly confirmed his involvement in the recently announced sequel to G.I. Joe: Retaliation (not that it was ever in doubt) by expressing his excitement about the follow-up and teasing what Paramount has planned. While it wasn't exactly a masterpiece, I thought the movie was a lot of fun and it was nice to see a blockbuster actually make effective use of 3D. You can read my review by clicking HERE. Are you excited about the follow-up? Check out Johnson's comments below and sound off with your thoughts in the usual place! "What we would love to do with the sequel to G.I. Joe, which will definitely happen—we set ourselves up nicely with this past G.I. Joe because we really paid attention with respected homage to the mythology. And now that we've redesigned that foundation of the mythology, there are many places to go.
