Everything started back in 2008 with Jon Favreau's first Iron Man, when Marvel Studios made a decision to make all their upcoming superhero films in one universe. Since then we got Iron Man 2, The Incredible Hulk, and now the studio and director Kenneth Branagh brought us the first film featuring the God of Thunder. And now, after a long, long wait, I finally watched THOR on the big screen. More below! Paramount Pictures and Marvel Entertainment present the epic adventure, "Thor," which spans the Marvel Universe from present day Earth to the realm of Asgard. At the center of the story is the mighty Thor (Chris Hemsworth), a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war. Thor is cast down to Earth by his father Odin (Anthony Hopkins) and is forced to live among humans. A beautiful, young scientist, Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), has a profound effect on

Filming For The Avengers Halted Due To Samuel L. Jackson's Script Theft?

Posted: 30 Apr 2011 09:40 AM PDT

It's well known that filming for Marvel Studios' crossover phenomenon The Avengers commenced earlier this week. And it's also known that only a day after, several news outlets & blogs were offered actor Samuel L. Jackson's supposed shooting script, for the right price of course. Well, due to just that, Fan Film Review is reporting: According to our sources close to the production of The Avengers filming has completely halted. The number one reason being that the studio has seen fit to call for a rewrite of the scenes that had been compromised by the release of the photographed script pages. However, this source indicated that the theft Samuel L. Jacksons script DID NOT occur in Albuquerque, but apparently happened in Burbank CA. Our sources gave no indication as to when the film would return to full production Theres no indication of the site's legitimacy, other than the fact that the editor

Jeff Beck Communicates Through His Guitar at New Orleans Jazz Fest 2011

There are more than 100 acts playing the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival over its two-weekend span, but only one certifiable rock god, as was clear the moment Jeff Beck took the Acura stage before a crowd of more than 20,000 on Friday afternoon (April 29).

The two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Famer -- as both a member of the Yardbirds and solo -- cherry-picked from his five-decade career during this 80-minute set, opening with a blazing version of 2003's Grammy-winning 'Plan B.' Though he said barely a word to the enrapt audience throughout the show, Beck communicated beautifully, his precise, clean electric guitar sending notes soaring into the audience.

While he shone on such originals as 'Hammerhead,' for which he won a Grammy this past February, the well-chosen, tasty covers also resonated with the audience, including the Curtis Mayfield chestnut, 'People Get Ready' -- a track long-associated with Beck -- Gil Evans' 'Little Wing,' and the Beatles' 'A Day in the Life,' which served as a tribute to Beck's mentor George Martin, who produced two Beck albums in the '70s.
