What better way to celebrate this Juno Awards weekend's, er, celebration of Canadian music than with this exclusive, maple syrup-coated cover of 2011 Juno-winner Neil Young's "Harvest Moon" by this year's nominees Arkells and CanRock cohorts from Cuff the Duke, Great Lake Swimmers, City and Colour and Ladies of the Canyon.

The working-class Hamilton, ON, rockers are nominated for Group of the Year and Rock Album of the Year for Michigan Left, which will see a long-awaited U.S. release on April 10 and a American tour.

Arkells recently played a fundraiser at Toronto's Legendary Horseshoe Tavern for MusiCounts, a charity supporting children's music education. "We were fortunate enough to share the stage with many of the Canadian musicians that we have looked up to for a very long time," said bassist Nick Dika. "The night was a lot of fun, and not one that will soon be forgotten; bucket list kind of stuff."

Spinner can now present you exclusive footage from that event in the form of Arkells' awesome all-star cover of "Harvest Moon." Enjoy!

Josh Wilding Reviews: WRATH OF THE TITANS 3D

Posted: 31 Mar 2012 10:33 AM PDT

Set a decade or so after Clash of the Titans, the widowed Perseus finds himself once again living the simple life of a fisherman with his son Helius. Meanwhile, Hades has a plan to bring back the evil Kronos, his and Zeus' father, in a bid to keep hold of his immortality. This results in Zeus seeking out Perseus for his help as the lack of faith in the Gods means that they no longer have the power to face a threat such as this one by themselves. After a few minor twists and turns, it's basically a case of getting them from point A to point B with a handful of battles in-between. Along the way, we are also introduced to a few new characters, as well as once again meeting Andromeda (who is far more battle hardened than when we last saw her). The script is far from groundbreaking,

BOX OFFICE: THE HUNGER GAMES Dominates; WRATH OF THE TITANS Takes The #2 Spot

Posted: 31 Mar 2012 09:43 AM PDT

Deadline has their box office report up for the weekend with the first figures for both The Hunger Games and Wrath of the Titans bringing both good and bad news. The good news is for Lionsgate who are expected to reach the $250M mark with The Hunger Games this weekend. As a bonus, it's not only #1 at the box office, but also in the book and album charts in the US. Unfortunately, the news is not quite so good for Warner Bros. sequel, Wrath of the Titans. While it has taken the #2 spot (holding off competition from kid friendly release Mirror Mirror) and will more than likely make its projected $37M, this is far short of Clash of the Titans' $61.2M opening weekend back in 2010. However, it's expected to make back its $150M budget thanks to overseas takings. Despite a mixed reaction from critics, this isn't too bad

Joss Whedon Describes Agent Coulson's "Man Crush" On Captain America In THE AVENGERS

Posted: 31 Mar 2012 08:34 AM PDT

Although Nick Fury may be in charge of S.H.I.E.L.D., it's up to Agent Phil Coulson (played by Clark Gregg) to bring together the team of superheroes for Marvel's The Avengers. "I would be lying if I said that from the beginning we knew Agent Coulson would be the character in all of our films," said executive producer Louis D'Esposito on his now vital role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. "After the reaction to his character in 'Iron Man,' it was obvious that we wanted to continue the role. Agent Coulson is an everyman who people can relate to because he is just so darn likable and loves every part of being a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent. He doesn't have any super powers, but he does have some fighting skills and sense of humor, which you really get to see in the way speaks with Nick Fury and Tony Stark. It's absolutely charming, funny

Jerry Lee Lewis Marries Cousin's Ex-Wife

Posted: 31 Mar 2012 08:36 AM PDT

jerry-lee.jpg
Rock and roll legend Jerry Lee Lewis has a penchant for the term "kissing cousins." Heading down the aisle for the seventh time, Lewis, 76, married Judith Brown, 62, who was previously married to Jerry Lee's cousin, Rusty Brown. Here's the tricky part: Rusty is the brother of Myra Gale Brown, who wed Jerry Lee in 1957 when the "Great Balls of Fire" singer was 23 and Myra was only 13. That marriage (Lewis' third) lasted 13 years but the scandal ruined the piano player's career. Jerry Lee and Judith, who has been his caregiver for several years, were hitched March 9 in Natchez, Mississippi, according to Lewis' rep.

Are reality star and health and lifestyle expert Bethenny Frankel and her husband Jason Frankel Hoppy calling it quits?

bethenny-frankel.jpg

That's the relationship rumor buzzing on the net -- that Jason has moved out and checked into a NYC hotel. But Friday "Extra" can reveal our sources says it's NOT true.

Bethenny herself responded to the gossip, writing on her blog Thursday, "I know you have all been worried about my relationship. I love my husband and my family. Relationships may not have always been my strong point, but I am dedicated to my marriage, to being a better person every day and to being open and honest in the hopes of helping myself -- and hopefully many of you."

Bethenny also responded to the speculation about her marriage, spawned by their caught-on-camera reality TV fights, telling our Mario Lopez, "We're working through it and that's what we do everyday."

Watch a sneak peek at the next episode of "Bethenny Ever After," with Ellen DeGeneres, airing Monday on Bravo!

Captain America 2 Shortlist Includes Community Directors Joe and Anthony Russo

Posted: 30 Mar 2012 09:44 AM PDT

Captain America 2 reveals shortlist for directors

With Marvel's The Avengers set to invade theaters in just over one month, Marvel Studios is readying their post-Avengers projects, one of which being Captain America 2. Directors George Nolfi (The Adjustment Bureau), F. Gary Gray (Friday; The Italian Job), and, surprisingly, Community directors/executive producers Joe Russo and Anthony Russo are on the short list to helm this superhero sequel.

While it may seem odd to have a pair of sitcom directors in the mix for a big-budget adventure, an insider reveals the Russo brothers made a good first impression with Marvel Studios' president of production, Kevin Feige.

"Kevin [Feige, Marvel Studios' president of production] is a 'vibe guy.' He likes to see if he gets along with people before he'll decide about spending the next two years with them. And apparently, they hit it off with Kevin in the room."

It is said that meetings are scheduled with all of the finalists early next month, and that a decision could be made as early as mid-April. Actor Neal McDonough, who played Dum Dum Dugan in Captain America: The First Avenger, said back in January that Captain America 2 will likely begin shooting at the end of this year, after Thor 2 wraps principal photography.

Captain America 2 comes to theaters in 2014.

BOX OFFICE: WRATH OF THE TITANS Opens To $1 Million From Midnight Showings

Posted: 30 Mar 2012 09:32 AM PDT

Deadline reports that Warner Bros.' Wrath Of The Titans, a sequel to 2010's Clash Of The Titans, has opened with $1 million from midnight screenings in 1,490 theaters. Predictions suggest that the movie will debut to $34M-$36M this weekend. Clash Of The Titans opened with $61 million two years ago, but Wrath is still expected to do well financially (despite reviews being mostly negative; the film is currently sitting at 22% on Rotten Tomatoes). Meanwhile, Lionsgate's The Hunger Games, an adaptation of the successful Suzanne Collins novel, is expected to again be the #1 movie of the weekend. The film, which stars Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson, is set to pass $190 million in North America today after being in theaters for only a week. Wrath Of The Titans is expected to open in second place. Also opening today is Relativity Media's Snow White tale, Mirror Mirror, which stars Lily Collins and

Joss Whedon Rehashes THE AVENGERS Writing Process, Sequel Setups And More

Posted: 29 Mar 2012 10:48 PM PDT

What was your process, when you sat down and said 'I've got to write this'? Well, the first part of it is just extraordinary fun, which is "What would these characters say to each other? how would they define themselves?" And I got to spend a few weeks just floating in that o-zone, "what if we did this?" and "ooh!" Most of that stuff never sees the light of day, but it does sock you into it. Once you get into the practical stuff, like "How does this guy...", it's a nightmare. And it's a recurring nightmare, because it was so much like Serenity in that way. So I really sort of went "Oh, God, I've done it again!" Because Serenity was pulling teeth to figure out the structure. And the same was true of The Avengers. And because we had a release date, we had to start production, it
