Xavier Will Continue To Work With The CIA In X-MEN: DOFP Posted: 09 Apr 2013 10:35 AM PDT Rose Byrne may not be reprising her role as Moira McTaggart in X-Men: Days Of Future Past but if the following pic posted by Bryan Singer is anything to go by, some of her CIA pals will be back and Charles Xavier (James McAvoy) will be helping them better understand Mutants. You'll also note the year on the thesis is 1973. X-Men: First Class was set in 1962 so this should give us an indication of how much time is supposed to have passed between movies. X-Men: Days Of Future Past stars Hugh Jackman, Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Michael Fassbender, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore, Peter Dinklage, Omar Sy, Halle Berry, Daniel Cudmore, Fan Bingbing and Boo Boo Stewart, and will hit theaters July 18, 2014.

Downton Abbey Creator Julian Fellowes to Adapt Atlantis: Revelation Posted: 09 Apr 2013 10:07 AM PDT Amber Entertainment is teaming up with Penguin Books U.K. and Downton Abbey creator Julian Fellowes for the adaptation Atlantis: Revelation. Marcus Blake wrote the novel, the first in a planned trilogy, which will be published by Penguin Books U.K. in October. The story is set in a world where the fabled city of Atlantis is actually real. Here's what Julian Fellowes, who will executive produce the adaptation, had to say about the story. "There are few legends that seem to touch the very heart of our human story, but the tale of the Lost City of Atlantis is one of them, the dazzling civilization, beautiful, glamorous, rich beyond measure, that was plunged beneath the sea. It is an inspiring thought that this generation is to have its own retelling of the story, made even more so by the involvement of Penguin publishing, a company that has made the care of our literary culture their chief business for so many years." Julian Fellowes will also oversee the screenplay's development, although no writer has been attached yet. Here's what Amber Entertainment co-founders Ileen Maisel and Lawrence Elman said in their own joint statement. "Atlantis has been part of the collective unconscious and is a myth that is known all around the world. To marry this extraordinary story with a well-known thriller genre will make for both compulsive reading as well as for compulsive movie-going." No production schedule was given for the adaptation.

Max Landis Gives A CHRONICLE 2 Update; Says It's "Moving Along" Posted: 09 Apr 2013 09:57 AM PDT The last update we had on Chronicle 2 actually came from screenwriter Max Landis' director father John, when he revealed (perhaps out of turn) that the studio and his son had very different ideas on the direction the story should go in, and suggested that they wanted a complete rewrite. Well now Landis Jr. has spoken up about it and reckons that although he and Fox had differences of opinion, it wasn't that they didn't like the script, just found it too dark.
