The boy, who lives with McCready's parents, was picked up by his mother Tuesday and has not been seen since. McCready doesn't have legal custody of the child but is allowed visitations. Although a missing persons report was filed, McCready posted a Facebook message late Tuesday night saying, "My son is not missing" and that "police established that this afternoon via Skype." "I have been fighting the Florida court system to protect my son, and bring him home," she wrote. "Please do not worry." A judge has ordered McCready to return Zander by 5:00 PM Thursday. McCready has had a number of personal problems in recent years, including an apparent overdose, suicide attempts and rehab.

Comedian Carlos Mencia visited "Extra's" Mario Lopez at The Grove after shedding 70 pounds!
carlos-mencia.jpg
Mencia is making his television comeback on a Comedy Central special, "New Territory," which focuses on a period of reflection and self-discovery. "A lot of stuff in this new special is about why I am the way I am," Carlos explained. The controversial funnyman, who was once accused of stealing jokes from George Lopez and Ari Shaffir, revealed, "I started going to therapy, losing weight, being introspective." Mencia told Mario where he gets his personality from, saying, "Part of the reason why I'm so blunt is 'cause my dad's blunt. My mom will say, 'Do I look fat in this dress?' My dad will say, 'You look fat in everything.'" Carlos, who once grew up in the L.A. projects, said, "I'm not the angry dude I used to be. 'Cause you can't be angry in a Mercedes." "New Territory" airs on Dec. 6 on Comedy Central. Here are five interesting facts about Carlos: 1. He is the 17th of 18 children. 2. He managed to stay out of the L.A. gangs while in his teens and graduated from Garfield High School. 3. Mencia majored in Electrical Engineering at Cal State L.A. but dropped out to pursue a career in comedy. 4. He has guest starred on shows like "Moesha" and "The Shield" before landing his own half-hour gig on "Mind of Mencia." 5. "Mind of Mencia's" sophomore season in 2006 became Comedy Central's second highest rated program behind "South Park."

Hammer Films and Cross Creek Pictures Team for Boneshaker

Hammer Films and Cross Creek Pictures Team for Boneshaker

Brian Oliver, President of Cross Creek Pictures, Simon Oakes, Vice-Chairman of Exclusive Media Group and President & CEO of Hammer Films and Guy East and Nigel Sinclair, Co-Chairmen of Exclusive Media Group ("Exclusive") announced today that Hammer has acquired the rights to the novel Boneshaker by Cherie Priest for adaptation to the big screen. Project will be co-produced by Hammer and Cross Creek Pictures and co-financed by Exclusive and Cross Creek Pictures.

John Hilary Shepherd, a 2010 WGA Award nominee for his work on the first season of the Showtime series, Nurse Jackie: Pill-O-Matix, is writing the screenplay. Tobin Armbrust, Head of Production is overseeing the project's development for Hammer Films.

An example of "steampunk" science-fiction, which incorporates futuristic innovations into a Victorian setting, Priest's novel is set in an alternate version of 1880s Seattle, where the city has been walled in and a toxic gas has turned many of its remaining residents into "Rotters," more commonly known as zombies. A young widow hunts for her teen son in the Seattle underworld, while dealing with airship pirates, a criminal overlord and heavily armed refugees. Boneshaker was nominated for a 2010 Hugo Award for Best Novel, and won the 2010 Locus Award for Best Science Fiction Novel.

The novel, published in 2009 by Tor Books, is the first in a series set in the same Civil War-period, alternate-world Priest has dubbed "The Clockwork Century." The series' second novel "Dreadnought" was published in 2010 and the third novel titled "Ganymede" was recently released online and in bookstores on September 27th.

Tor Books is releasing the fourth novel in the series in 2012 titled "Inexplicables," and last week announced a deal with Cherie Priest for her to write a fifth novel in "The Clockwork Century" series. The fifth book will be called "Fiddlehead."&#8232

"First and foremost this is a great story. Bringing a steampunk style novel to life on the big screen is going to be very cool, very unique," said Tobin Armbrust.

"Boneshaker is a classic zombie movie with a modern twist which is quintessentially Hammer so it's a perfect fit for us," said Simon Oakes. "Cherie Priest's steampunk series are fantastic with a distinct, unique style and we're really looking forward to bringing her 'Rotters' to the big screen."

"It's like Jules Verne meets Resident Evil, and we're thrilled to have such a fun, commercial potential franchise in Boneshaker," says Brian Oliver. He continues: "John Hilary Shepherd's an exciting screenwriter and we see this being a real crowd pleaser."

This is the latest in a number of projects Cross Creek Pictures and Exclusive have teamed on, including George Clooney's The Ides of March, which opened nationwide on October 7th through Sony Pictures, the upcoming The Woman in Black starring Daniel Radcliffe, which CBS Films has set to release February 3rd, 2012 and Ron Howard's Formula 1 film Rush starring Daniel Br&#252hl and Chris Hemsworth with production partners Imagine, Revolution Films and Working Title.

Boneshaker comes to theaters in 2013.

David Milch signs new multi-year pact with HBO

David Milch's Redboard Productions has entered into a new multi-year exclusive television deal with HBO, which will also cover any further services on the upcoming series Luck, starring Dustin Hoffman and debuting on the network Sunday, Jan. 29.

Redboard has also concluded an agreement with the William Faulkner Literary Estate to produce films and television series based on selections from William Faulkner's bibliography. The deal covers all of the 19 novels and 125 short stories in the estate, as well as other works, with the exception of those currently contracted with other parties. ICM, which reps David Milch, brokered the deal with Redboard and the William Faulkner Literary Estate.

Under the terms of the agreement, David Milch will partner with Lee Caplin, the executor of the William Faulkner Literary Estate and CEO of Picture Entertainment Corp., to choose which works to develop, package and produce. Both David Milch and Lee Caplin will act as executive producers of those projects, with David Milch serving as the executive writer in charge of adapting the works.

The agreement gives HBO an exclusive first opportunity to finance, produce and distribute the projects as movies, miniseries and series. Olivia Milch will serve as coordinating producer on the projects.

"We are especially pleased to continue our longstanding relationship with one of the industry's most talented contemporary writers," says Michael Lombardo, president, HBO Programming. "We know that whatever David Milch brings to the HBO table will be exciting and innovative."

"I'm delighted to expand my longstanding relationship with HBO to encompass the adaptation of some of the most important literary works by any American writer into television films and series," says David Milch. "As we embark on this ambitious project, our first commitment is to serve the material, and we look forward to identifying and collaborating with the best screenwriters and filmmakers to help each of the pieces find its ideal form onscreen."

Nancy Grace Weighs In on Conrad Murray Sentence

Posted: 30 Nov 2011 11:33 AM PST

HLN host Nancy Grace talked with "Extra" correspondent Jerry Penacoli and gave her two cents on the recent four-year jail sentence handed to Michael Jackson's doctor, Conrad Murray, after he was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter.
nancy-grace.jpg
"The judge in the Michael Jackson death trial brings down the hammer!" Grace exclaimed, but added she thinks Murray shouldn't be in an L.A. county jail. "You're with anybody from shoplifters to a burglar to someone who went joyriding, whereas if you're in the pen, you're in with rapists, child molesters and killers. He should be absolutely in the state penitentiary." Grace also doesn't understand why Murray hasn't said he was sorry to the Jackson family. "I can't tell you why he's not apologizing... An appellate court may view that as some sort of admission." Will the family ever see the $100 million restitution? Grace's verdict is no. "They're never going to get that much money out of Conrad Murray." As for losing 26 pounds while competing on "Dancing with the Stars," is the former prosecutor still dancing? Grace laughed, "No, I have not been dancing. I actually got on the elliptical today. It was one of those ruthless, horrible exercises. I about fell off!"

James Bond in Shanghai Airport for SKYFALL...Sort of

Posted: 30 Nov 2011 10:01 AM PST

Photos & Info Courtesy of mi6-hq.com The website mi6-hq.com has come across some interesting information, as it appears as though Sam Mendes has turned the Ascot Racecourse's new state of the art grandstand into the Shanghai International Airport. As you can see with the image to the right, Shanghai signage has been added to the location. The scenes were filmed at night according to the site's source to keep the racetrack out of the shots, and over 300 Chinese extras were used to create authenticity. Also of note, mi6-hq.com is reporting that a large amount of VW Beetles have been scooped up for the film. It is expected that they'll be damaged for a stunt and production will need replacements. The image above is of the Racecourse, and below is an image of the Shanghai Airport In an odd piece of news, rumorfix.com is reporting that there is something special going on with

Robert Downey Jr. reprises his role as the world's most famous detective, Sherlock Holmes, and Jude Law returns as his formidable colleague, Dr. Watson, in "Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows." Sherlock Holmes has always been the smartest man in the room...until now. There is a new criminal mastermind at large—Professor Moriarty (Jared Harris)—and not only is he Holmes' intellectual equal, but his capacity for evil, coupled with a complete lack of conscience, may actually give him an advantage over the renowned detective. When the Crown Prince of Austria is found dead, the evidence, as construed by Inspector Lestrade (Eddie Marsan), points to suicide. But Sherlock Holmes deduces that the prince has been the victim of murder—a murder that is only one piece of a larger and much more portentous puzzle, designed by one Professor Moriarty. Jeremy Renner Dishes On THE AVENGERS And Potential 'Hawkeye' Solo Movie!

Talking recently with Collider, actor Jeremy Renner, the 'Hawkeye' of Marvel's forthcoming superhero flick The Avengers, discussed the establishing the character from Thor, and further doing so in a potential solo movie. Also dishing on The Bourne Legacy in the full interview, linked below, check out an excerpt. Whether it was fun setting up 'Hawkeye' in Thor, before establishing the character in The Avengers... "It's actually difficult because there's not a lot to do. In Thor, I had to just stand in a bucket and hold my bow and arrow. What's the character? I have no idea. I was thrown into that very quickly, so it was like, "Am I trapping myself?" It's a little strange. I don't know if it's a good thing. I don't think I'd go about it, normally, that way. It's certainly a different way to go about taking on a role." Whether it ended up trapping him at

Peter Murphy: 'Pissing' on His Ex-Bauhaus Bandmates, Slaying in 'Twilight'

Peter MurphyThomas Tadeus Bak

Peter Murphy may be the "Godfather of Goth" and the lead singer for one of rock's spookiest bands, Bauhaus, but until recently the 54-year-old Brit seemed indifferent to his black crown.

Murphy's 1990s and 2000s were marked by the creation of a traditional Turkish album, an ambient electric album, a conversion to Islam and a subsequent move to Turkey. It almost felt as though the man who had freaked everyone out so thoroughly performing 'Bela Lugosi's Dead' in David Bowie's chilling 1983 vampire flick 'The Hunger' had left Nosferatu behind.

Then a strange thing happened. In 2006, Bauhaus reunited and toured with Nine Inch Nails. In 2008, they put out 'Go Away White,' their first proper album in 25 years (though they disbanded again before touring the effort). In 2010, Murphy was introduced to a new generation of dark-seekers via a cameo role as "The Cold One" in 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.' And now, armed with a bristling return-to-rock solo record called 'Ninth' and a long-awaited willingness to play Bauhaus songs during his solo sets, it seems like Murphy has returned to claim his dark throne.

Spinner spoke to the icon about all this and more.

The two solo singles, 'Seesaw Sway' and 'I Spit Roses,' seem like a coda and that you're sending a message to someone. Are those songs specifically about Bauhaus?

No, not at all. There is that energy in there, in that I was so exhausted in trying to get all the other members into being what [Bauhaus] was all about, and not to bring old baggage of Love and Rockets and their L.A. experience, poor things, [into the reunion].
