Olivia Wilde Talks Returning As Quorra For TRON: LEGACY Sequel

Posted: 15 Mar 2013 11:27 AM PDT

Not too long ago, it was confirmed that a third Tron film was moving forward at Disney, with a new writer on board and cast members from 2010's Legacy signed on. Director Joseph Kosinski said that the sequel will have to be their Empire Strikes Back in order for him to return. In an interview with Hit Fix while promoting The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, Olivia Wilde talked about her returning as Quorra in Tron 3. She doesn't share any updates on where the film is exactly in its development, but she does look back on Legacy and how its establishment of its characters (particularly Quorra) would allow for "some fun" to occur in future adventures. "I loved the collaborative effort that was Tron, and I think now with the time to really focus on character development after we've established so much exposition, we can really have some fun. And so, I

Starbuck Clip

Posted: 15 Mar 2013 10:38 AM PDT

One man's choice to donate sperm hundreds of times has bizarre consequences in the first clip from the upcoming comedy Starbuck. David Wozniak (Patrick Huard) made a whopping 693 sperm deposits over the years, although he comes to learn that his "work" resulted in 533 children being born. 142 of those children want to meet their dear old dad, even though that shouldn't be possible because of the confidentiality agreements he signed each time. This scene shows David Wozniak meeting with his attorney Avocat (Antoine Bertrand), who doesn't seem to be taking the situation very seriously.

Starbuck - First Meeting With Lawyer

Starbuck comes to theaters March 22nd, 2013 and stars Patrick Huard, Julie LeBreton, Antoine Bertrand, Dominic Philie, Marc Bélanger, Igor Ovadis, David Michael, Patrick Martin. The film is directed by Ken Scott.

EXCLUSIVE: Unused Mechanical Blob Suit For X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE (Video)

Posted: 15 Mar 2013 11:24 AM PDT

The special effects gurus at StudioADI helped bring Marvel Comics' The Blob (Frederick J. Dukes) to life in 2009's X-Men Origins: Wolverine. That was accomplished with the actor, Kevin Durand, donning a practical fat suit. But today, Alec Gillis from StudioADI reveals details and provides a video that showcases the experimentation of a mechanical body suit for The Blob. If you'd like to view more of their wonderful videos visit their StudioADI YouTube channel by clicking here. Alec Gillis Like any business, ours is a competitive one. On a high profile show like X-Men Origins: Wolverine, we weren't the only Character Effects company vying for the job. Sometimes it isn't just the quality of your work, or your price, or your hair style that factors into the decision as to who the job is awarded to. Sometimes it's an idea that grabs the director. Production was very concerned about Blob. There were two competing

The Strokes, 'All the Time' -- Video Premiere

The Strokes All the Time VideoVevo

This is the Strokes we know and love. The new music video for "All the Time" just released today may be a token tour diary video, but those are always fun, aren't they?

"All the Time" is more familiar territory than "One Way Trigger," the first single off their new album, Comedown Machine. The video shows the band enjoying giant margaritas, obligatory stadium-rocking shots, as well as treading water with their instruments in what appears to be a shoot for another video. (At least, we hope the band wasn't actually drowning with their guitars while the cameraman watched.)

Watch the video below, and breathe a sigh of relief that Julian Casablancas isn't abusing his falsetto and synthing it up quite as much in this track.

Just saw Burt Wonderstone, and with a few tweaks it could've been great. What other movies were a fix away from greatness?

Posted: 15 Mar 2013 08:32 AM PDT

Wow, Burt was a steaming pile. Since I started this thing, I'll go first. Spoilers ahead

Half the point of the damn film was Burt regaining his joy for performing. It kind of shows that he was turning around, but never got there. In the Big showcase, Steve Gray commits professional suicide. They didn't beat him, they were simply that last ones standing. Yeah yeah, we get that Steve was flipping nuts, but there was zero payoff to the showdown.

Anton should have gotten a love interest, if even for a night. (maybe he selects a male audience member and sparks fly?) The film should have been rated R, with the gross out gags that could have gone along with that. They tortured animals at least three times in the film, all cringe worthy, none funny.

Finally, the movie should have been either a comedy or a drama, since it really wasn't much of either. I was in a large midnight show, and not once was there so much as a chuckle from anyone around me. When the audience laughs at the trailers more than the film, you failed. There was no shortage of talent in this film, and they were all wasted.

The bonus scene to me encapsulates mood of the experience- Nobody in the film has the slightest respect for the audience.
