One Direction FanFic: Wildest, Weirdest and Most Disturbing Stories About Brit Boy Band Posted: 27 Mar 2013 02:00 PM PDT Filed under: News, Exclusive, Holy Hell, News Today, Oh Boy!, Music Appreciation YouTube For as long as freshly-scrubbed boys have been assembled into crack singing units designed to conquer the hearts and wallets of hot-blooded girls with their harmonies, synchronized dance moves and floppy hair, those same girls have been crafting all sorts of fantastical stories about the objects of their desires and disposable incomes. But they used to keep these stories in their mattress-hidden diaries. Not no more. One very lucky One Direction fan, 16-year-old Emily Baker, brought this time-honored tradition to the mainstream when her fan-fiction about a teen trapped in a love triangle with two members of the British boy band was picked up by Penguin last fall. While Baker's tale sounds like a lovely little exploration of wish fulfillment, not everyone who writes fanfic is quite so sweet and publishable, and the One Direction nation are certainly no exception. Scrape the surface of 1D's fandom and you'll find a seedy underbelly of sex slaves, bed wetting, humans with dog genitalia and rapes committed by beloved talk show hosts.

Akira Takarada Will Appear In New GODZILLA Film Posted: 27 Mar 2013 10:06 AM PDT Via the film's official Facebook page, Legendary Pictures has released the following set photo from their anticipated Godzilla reboot. The image features director Gareth Edwards alongside none other than Japanese actor Akira Takarada, who starred as Hideto Ogata in the original 1954 Godzilla film and appeared other installments in the long running franchise (including Mothra Vs. Godzilla and the last movie, 2004's Godzilla: Final Wars). There is currently no word on how big a role Takarada has in the currently-shooting reboot, but you can check out the image below. Godzilla stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ken Watanabe, Elizabeth Olsen, Juliette Binoche, David Strathairn and Bryan Cranston. The film is set to hit theaters May 16th, 2014. VIDEO GAMES: TellTale's FABLES Video Game Revealed; Titled THE WOLF AMONG US Posted: 27 Mar 2013 10:02 AM PDT After TellTale Games released an unexpected hit with The Walking Dead, which was met with notorious critical acclaim and won multiple Game Of The Year awards, the studio is back with another comic adaptation. This time it's DC Comics' Fables, which was announced back in 2011. However, this video game is a prequel to the comics and is titled The Wolf Among Us. The game will follow Bigby Wolf as the main protagonist as he is exiled to New York City and must keep fairy tale creatures undetected in our world. TellTale CEO Dan Connors said that "Developing The Wolf Among Us based on the Fables universe has allowed our studio to build upon all of the hallmarks of what makes our episodic series so engaging for players,".
