Filmed entirely in black-and-white on location in Poland, Schindler's List does not downplay the faults of its magnanimous and unlikely hero, but relates a story of the triumph of the human spirit in the face of horrific devastation and tragedy. Tomb Raider Reboot Will Be a Prequel with a Younger Lara Croft Posted: 04 Mar 2013 09:07 PM PST With the release of Crystal Dynamics' new action game Tomb Raider today, the game studio and GK Films are feeling the pressure to reboot the film franchise. They are working very closely to bring the action franchise back to the big screen with a younger Lara Croft in what will essentially be a prequel. Head of studio at Crystal Dynamics Darrell Gallagher expressed his excitement for working with the film studio and where they are planning to take the film. "They are working from this new take that we've given them, It's a good partnership. We're seeing the challenges through the same lens. It was important for both of us to have a cohesive version of the franchise. We didn't want to see a film version that was a continuation of the old 'Tomb Raider' films." Creative Director for Crystal Dynamics Noah Hughes said this about the character. "Looking at Lara as a character, she was still going to be an intellectual heroine, a brilliant archeologist, but more athletic, more competent in traversal and puzzle-solving and combat, She really embodies adventure. She's an expression of all the things that are exciting and fun about going on epic adventures. There's an X factor that no one can explain but is universal in design. She's a great character to work with." Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle Of Life starred Angelina Jolie and brought in almost half a billion dollars worldwide. The question now is who will take the place of the leading lady in the new franchise? Tomb Raider comes to theaters in 2013.
Universal Cancels Plans To Release OBLIVION Early In IMAX Posted: 05 Mar 2013 10:04 AM PST Last summer, Universal announced plans to release director Joseph Kosinski's sci-fi epic Oblivion starring Tom Cruise, in IMAX April 12th, a week before it arrives in general theaters. Now, however, Deadline reports that the studio has changed these plans and will release the film in both formats on April 19th. The reason behind this is to maximize its opening during a weekend which only sees the Ashton Kutcher-starrer jOBS as wide competition. Additionally, it allows Jurassic Park 3D to have an extra week in IMAX theaters, and Cruise will be able to promote Oblivion internationally longer than before as the movie releases in several territories on April 12th. Do you plan on seeing the film? Oblivion stars Tom Cruise, Morgan Freeman, Olga Kurylenko, Andrea Riseborough, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Melissa Leo. The film is set to hit theaters April 19th Follow @PaulRomCBM !function(d,s,id){var js,fjs=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];if(!d.getElementById(id)){js=d.createElement(s);js.id=id;js.src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js";fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js,fjs);}}(document,"script","twitter-wjs");
Vin Diesel Up For Lead Role In Break Eisner's THE LAST WITCH HUNTER Posted: 05 Mar 2013 10:01 AM PST Deadline has the scoop, that Vin Diesel ("Saving Private Ryan") is in early negotiates to star in Breck Eisner's The Last Witch Hunter. Guess Hollywood isn't afraid to dip back into the witch hunter storyline even though Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters underperformed at the box office. In the Cory Goodman-scripted film, the protagonist is an immortal witch hunter who partners with his natural enemy, a female witch, to stop the covens of New York City from unleashing a plague on humanity. Summit is out to Diesel to play the Witch Hunter. Goodman's script made the 2010 Black List. Michael "Breck" Eisner, son of Disney's Michael Eisner, doesn't have a stellar filmography with his most notable films being, 2005's Sahara with Matthew McConaughey, and 2010's The Crazies with Timothy Olyphant. Diesel on the other hand keeps his raking in the dough with his Fast & Furious franchise, with the 6th installment in the

Posted: 05 Mar 2013 06:34 AM PST Hey guys, hoping that you can help me out. I have been googling trying to figure out the name of this movie for ages. Basic plot is that there is this group of computer programmers that have created this bad ass firewall product. The team goes out to play paintball as like a reward or something for completing their product and someone is out in the field with a real gun picking them off. Any ideas? Edit - Looks like handsomed3vil found it, thanks! [link] [10 comments] |
