EXCLUSIVE: Hunky Dory Clip

Posted: 22 Mar 2013 10:36 AM PDT

Our exclusive scene from the indie musical Hunky Dory shows an awkward conversation between the passionate drama teacher Viv (Minnie Driver) and the uptight Mrs. Valentine (Haydn Gwynne). Director Marc Evans' high school drama, set in 1976, centers on Viv, who is determined to create her school's best play ever, with a rock musical version of William Shakespeare's The Tempest. Watch as Mrs. Valentine expresses her concerns about the students' studies suffering from concentrating on this play so much. Hunky Dory opens in New York and Los Angeles on March 22nd, with a nationwide expansion following in the coming weeks.

Hunky Dory - Exclusive "Oliver"

Relive the summer of 1976 in this heartwarming British musical from the producer of Billy Elliot. Minnie Driver plays Viv, a fiery high school drama teacher determined to fire up her hormonal, apathetic students by putting on the best end-of-the-year show the school has ever seen... a glam rock-infused musical version of Shakespeare's The Tempest. But as the Welsh summer begins to heat up, can she compete with the typical teenage distractions of sex and drugs with some great rock and roll? Find out in this fantastic, rousing film- but remove all fears of the typical teen-pop covered high school musicals from your minds, as the songs in this film are from legendary artists like David Bowie, The Beach Boys, Electric Light Orchestra, and The Byrds.

Hunky Dory was released March 22nd, 2013 and stars Minnie Driver, Aneurin Barnard, Danielle Branch, Robert Pugh, Haydn Gwynne, Steve Speirs, Aled Pugh, Julia Perez. The film is directed by Marc Evans.

COMICS: Now Tony Daniel Leaves ACTION COMICS; Working On Another "Massive Project" At DC

Posted: 22 Mar 2013 10:06 AM PDT

Unlike the recent professional and creative differences which led to Andy Diggle and Josh Fialkov walking away from DC Comics, Tony S. Daniel will remain at the publisher but NOT on Action Comics. As you can see from the following post on his Facebook page, he has confirmed that while he will indeed take over scripting duties to finish of the arc, he will NOT remain on the series after that time. He claims this was always the plan, this goes against a lot of reports we heard in the build-up to the highly publicised run. However, it's interesting to wonder what exactly the "massive project" he will be working on for DC is. Check out his comments below and be sure to sound off with your thoughts on them in the usual place! Will you still buy the series? Yes, many have heard, Andy Diggle left Action Comics after the first

Posted: 22 Mar 2013 09:50 AM PDT

Golfer Tiger Woods and skier Lindsey Vonn went public with their relationship on Facebook on Monday, and even released a series of lovey-dovey photos, but is it really just a case of image rehab? The press seems to think so.

In Touch Weekly's Senior Editor Dorothy Cascerceri is suspicious. She told FOX News, "It kind of makes you wonder, is this kind of a publicity stunt? Certainly Lindsey Vonn is a very well known Olympic skier, but she's not that well known."

Exclusive: Bethany Joy Lenz Moves In On Dexter!

One Tree Hill fans, rejoice! And be a little scared. TV Guide Magazine has learned exclusively that the fabulous OTH vet Bethany Joy Lenz will be recurring on Dexter's eighth season, which is set to premiere on June 30 at 9/8c.

Described as "an attractive former finance executive looking for a quieter life," Lenz's character, Cassie, is slated to debut in the season's fourth episode and will wind up moving in next door to Dexter. While it's doubtful she will actually find life so close to a serial killer to be peaceful, we have a sneaking suspicion that her arrival will shake things up for Dex as he and Deb continue to pass themselves off as normal, non-homicidal, slightly-incestuous siblings.
