Help me if you know what movie I am talking about!

Posted: 21 Mar 2013 09:34 AM PDT

When I was very little I remember I watched a movie by myself one day. It was on national broadcasting, or maybe it was one of those shortfilms in kids television. To this date I have tried finding it, as I am sure it will be nostalgic as hell to watch it again. What I remember of it was: In the real world a boy comes home from school where he finds a big present, like really big, in his appartment, his parents arent home. The present somehow sends him into a cartoon world. Here he meets some random characters, I remember only 2 of them. The first one is someone who has been doomed to move a mountain of sand to a location right next to it, only by using pincers, one grain of sand at a time. The other one is in a big castle where the boy dines with some king or prince or something. In this castle everything you say comes out of your mouth as physical letters, letters which you then eat. I recall someone saying that you need to "speak to eat your speech" and everyone at the table blabbers and then their plates become full of letters which they then eat. The movie ends with the boy getting out of the cartoon world and back into reality where the big present flies out of his window and hovers around the skyscrapers. It sounds crazy, but man, I would love to find it and watch it again! :D Hope someone is able to help.

Gwyneth Paltrow Dishes On Suiting Up In IRON MAN 3

Posted: 21 Mar 2013 10:55 AM PDT

A media outlet has gathered a series of interviews with the cast and crew of Marvel's anticipated action thriller, Iron Man 3. With Gwyneth Paltrow returning as Pepper Potts, the Academy Award-winning actress opened up about having more to do in the Shane Black-helmed threequel; more precisely, donning a suit of armor at some point. "I didn't mind wearing the suit at all," she said. "I thought it was light and perfectly comfortable and my children thought I was extremely cool. They were here on a day where I was in it, so they were trying it on and when my son saw me in the suit, he had the biggest eyes, so it was definitely worth it." Other intriguing quotes from the article reveals, "Aldrich Killian heads a brain-trust organization called AIM that is developing Extremis, which is something that taps into human DNA and is able to reprogram it and

Ben Shemie, the well-spoken frontman of Montreal psychedelic art rock outfit Suuns, is well into a round of post-release press when Spinner connects with him. His band's sophomore album Images Du Futur came out on March 5 via Secretly Canadian and it's getting a lot of attention

"It's exciting," Shemie tells Spinner. "This is new for us. Our first record, we didn't have any expectations. It just kind of got picked up and there was no build up for the release. This time felt much more... pro. It's nice to put music out there and know it's being presented as it should be. For so many years, it was just us four."

Shemie, along with bandmates Joe Yarmush, Max Henry and Liam O'Neill formed Suuns back in 2006. Their 2010 debut Zeroes QC was picked up by Secretly Canadian at the behest of their pal and producer, the Besnard Lakes' Jace Lasek. Despite having little advance buzz propelling it, Zeroes QC was a critical success and put Suuns on the scene as a major act to watch.

COMICS: Joshua Hale Fialkov Quit GREEN LANTERN Because DC Is Killing John Stewart

Posted: 21 Mar 2013 10:37 AM PDT

Here's what Fialkov originally said he wanted to write about: "For me, the attraction was that I wanted to tell a crime story on a galactic level. That was my pitch to DC. Geoff [Johns] and all of the other guys have done such an amazing job, prior to us, of telling those big, giant space operas. Now it's time to narrow it down. Let's do stories that almost fall into a different genre while still being in the Green Lantern universe." Now imagine pitching that to DC, getting the gig and then being told that the series needs to go in a direction very different from what you had envisioned, namely you need to weave in killing John Stewart. I imagine there are a few comic book writers out there who would say that such things are simply the nature of writing for 'The Big Two' which is an entirely different

Watch The Oz: The Great and Powerful Opening Title Sequence

Posted: 21 Mar 2013 10:01 AM PDT

In case you're one of the few who hasn't seen Oz: The Great and Powerful, which currently reigns as the number one movie in America for the past two weeks in a row, the studio has now released the opening title sequence of director Sam Raimi's magical adventure. While the movie itself makes the best use of today's cutting edge technology, this animated opening is a black-and-white throwback to a simpler era of moviemaking, with a direct nod to the opening moments of the original 1939 classic The Wizard of Oz.

Oz: The Great and Powerful was released March 8th, 2013 and stars James Franco, Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz, Michelle Williams, Zach Braff, Bill Cobbs, Joey King, Tony Cox. The film is directed by Sam Raimi.
