300: Battle of Artemisia Is Based on a Real Person Says Eva Green Posted: 02 May 2012 10:27 AM PDT Back in December, we reported that Eva Green signed on to play the title character in 300: Battle of Artemisia, a spin-off of the 2007 blockbuster 300. The actress recently revealed Artemisia is based on an actual person. "Oh yeah, I'm playing Artemisia. She really existed actually. She was commander on a boat, of a whole Armada. She's a very ballsy character, she's almost like a man, so that's fun. It's my first action film, it's going to be a challenge, [there will be] lots of training." Apparently the special edition uniforms reflect the look and characteristics of their movie counterparts, and also trigger new "Avengers Assemble" team abilities.
