The estate, which was approximately £170,000 ($274,000 US), was instead left to his girlfriend for over a decade, Young Kim. "Joe is haunted by this," Stuart Edwards, Malcolm's brother and Joe's uncle, told the publication. "He looks at me and says, Why, why, why, why, would a father write 'I specifically exclude my son from my estate?'" |
| Dr. Seuss Biopic to Bring Iconic Characters to Life Alongside Theodor Geisel Posted: 10 May 2012 10:40 AM PDT  
The movie is being described as a cross between Finding Neverland and Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, with The Cat In The Hat and The Lorax sharing screen time alongside a live-action Depp, pulling the audience inside Dr. Seuss' head to see his creative process at work. Johnny Depp had this to say about the film. "A lot of writers I know have a tendency to talk to themselves or talk as the character - and then talk as the other character. You know what I mean? They can have a whole dialogue with themselves. There's something interesting about bringing these characters to life and maybe even witnessing him have a relationship with them." Johnny Depp is interested in exploring all aspects of Theodor Geisel's life, including his time spent as a political cartoonist. "This is the man who created all these incredible characters that every single one of us grew up with and loved. What was going on inside his mind? What was his life all about - all the way up to the end? How did he feel about it, how did he feel about those characters, and how did he live?" Johnny Depp and his sister Christi Dembrowski will produce the film through their Infinitum Nihil banner alongside Illumination Entertainment, the company that brought us Dr. Seuss' the Lorax earlier this year, and that are working on a CGI reboot of Dr. Seuss' The Cat In The Hat. It is not yet known which iconic Dr. Seuss characters will appear in the film. Johnny Depp and Christi Dembrowski are working closely with Theodor Geisel's wife Audrey Geisel in bringing this project together. Untitled Dr. Seuss Project comes to theaters in 2014 and stars Johnny Depp.

This time, thanks to Digital Spy, we get to see three more images revealed, which feature Batman's former sidekick, Nightwing (Dick Grayson), and villains Two-Face (Harvey Dent) and the Riddler (Edward Nigma). | Second The Odd Life of Timothy Green Trailer Posted: 10 May 2012 07:54 AM PDT  Walt Disney Pictures has taken the very disturbing 2001 dark comedy Little Otik and Disney-fied it into The Odd Life of Timothy Green. The story is the same; a young infertile couple discover a child has grown from a patch of grass in their backyard. From there, complications ensue. Only, I'm guessing, Timothy will take a different path than poor stump Otik. I don't envision this family film ending with a munch down on Jennifer Garner and Joel Edgerton's neighbors. After watching this second trailer, a third act blood bath seems quite unlikely. Check it out, then go rent Little Otik. (Trust me, you'll love it!)
