Finally! First Look at SKYFALL Villain Javier Bardem

Posted: 11 Mar 2012 12:10 PM PDT

The new James Bond movie Skyfall was filming scenes today at Whitehall in central London. Daniel Craig was on hand, he was seen running through the streets covered in dust. Most likely a continuation of the scene we saw being filmed last month. But, the most interesting part is that we finally get our first look at Javier Bardem as the bad guy in the movie, Silva. And as you can see below Javier will be sporting blonde hair and is wearing a police uniform. I'll assume that he is wearing the uniform as a disguise for the scene. THE AVENGERS Midnight Tickets To Go On Sale Tomorrow With Limited Edition Poster

Posted: 11 Mar 2012 11:57 AM PDT

Tickets for midnight screenings of Marvel's The Avengers have already gone on sale in New Zealand, but fans in the US will be able to nab their own when they are made available tomorrow. This was revealed via the official Facebook page earlier today. There's currently no information available about which sites these will be available on, although it's probably a good idea to keep your eyes on the likes of Fandango. Unfortunately, the fact they've used an image of the first official poster in the post makes it unlikely that the one they're giving away will be anything new. It is however still a nice little bonus for anyone eager enough to book their tickets this far in advance. Will you buy yours tomorrow? Marvel Studios presents in association with Paramount Pictures Marvel's The Avengers--the super hero team up of a lifetime, featuring iconic Marvel super heroes Iron Man, the

Joss Whedon On THE AVENGERS Nearing Completion, Audience Expediencies And More!

Posted: 11 Mar 2012 11:45 AM PDT

During the SXSW film festival, in yet another interview, Marvel's The Avengers helmer Joss Whedon discussed the much-anticipated film nearing completion. Talking with MTV News this time around, Whedon dotted on witnessing Oscar-nominated composer Alan Silvestri at work, what he's expecting from audiences, what his Cabin in the Woods director and co-writer thought of the film and more! "The most satisfying thing about 'The Avengers' is that soon I will finish it," he said with a weary smile. "That's quite an undertaking — although listening to Alan Silvestri conduct an 80-piece orchestra didn't suck. It was a really beautiful experience," he said of watching the composer at work. "He did such a great job: You're listening to live music and watching your movie form in a way that it doesn't until it has that music. That was exciting." Whedon said he enjoyed "just having all [of the cast]." "When they would

How come there are so many movies about a teenage boy who wants to have sex and this is the only one about a teenage girl who wants to have sex? (original trailer for "Turn Me On, Dammit!")

Need help! Can't remember movie title!

Posted: 11 Mar 2012 09:44 AM PDT

I cannot remember the name of it! It's Swedish, and it's about A father who goes to Africa as a volunteer doctor, and he encounters a horrible person who is in need of medical help. This person is known as "fat man". Everybody hates him for his crimes, and the nurses refuse to treat him, and urge the doctor to do the same. After the doctor fixes the man, he throws him out into the camp, where he has many enemies, and needless to say, the man gets killed. Meanwhile, two best friends (one of them dealing with the loss of his mother, the other missing his father in Africa), are up to no good. They want to blow up a car of a person they hate. One boy does not want to do it, but the other one keeps urging him, and pushing him to. Eventually, they make a bomb, but it in the car, and get ready to watch the fireworks, when a mother and her daughter start walking in the direction of the car. One of the boys runs out and yells "Stop! There's a bomb!", giving them just enough time to run away, however, the car explodes very close to the boy, and he is rendered unconscious. When he is taken to the hospital, the doctor says that there is a chance that the boy might live. The other boy feels guilty for all the trouble he caused (injuring his best friend and such), plus, he is dealing with the loss of his mother, so he attempts suicide, but is stopped just in time by the boy's father, who came home from Africa to see his son's condition. That's basically the end of the movie. It's a drama, very emotional, but very sad. It was Swedish, and I remember the title being something like "Better Tomorrow". I tried looking it up, but found nothing. Please, do any of you recognize this film?

What movie scene(s) will stick with you for the rest of your life?

Posted: 11 Mar 2012 09:51 AM PDT

These are the movie scenes that will always be tucked away in your conscious, popping up at random times and significantly affecting your mood or mentality at that moment.

For me, it's the scene in the underpass toward the "end" of Irreversible. If you haven't seen the movie, enjoy your wholesome bright future.

On the other end of the spectrum is the "reveal" moment in Charlie Chaplin's City Lights. This scene greatly moved me when I first saw it as a teen. The acting is decades ahead of its time, being that it's from the silent movie era, which is probably why it's still in my head.

Are D-Box Seats worth the money?

Posted: 11 Mar 2012 09:27 AM PDT

(Not for personal use. I mean at a theater.)

A theater about 20 minutes from my house has D-Box seats. I'm thinking about seeing The Hunger Games in them. It's $20 a ticket though so I'm not sure about it. Are they worth the upcharge?

please help me find this movie i can barely remember the ending

Posted: 11 Mar 2012 06:32 AM PDT

there's this woman (think she's a lawyer) and the murder/suspect in some sort of interrogation room (could also be in a mental hospital). it's kinda twisted ending where it comes out he's not the real murder but has some deal with him... woman walks out... film ends... i'm not sure but i think the story was told in flashbacks and the ending reveals that the teller was not the person you tought he would be like in "frailty" or "fallen"... also not sure, i think the movie was from around the year 2000....

i'm freakin out if anyone knows the title...

Reddit, what's your BEST movie experience after a bad trailer?

For me, it's probably The Lorax. The trailer made it look like crap, but it was actually a fun, good movie.
