BEAUTY AND THE BEAST: Kristin Kreuk and Jay Ryan Video Interview Posted: 12 Aug 2012 11:07 AM PDT Moving pretty far away from her Smallville role of Lana Lang, Kreuk portrays homicide detective Catherine Chandler who comes into contact with Jay Ryan's Vincent Koslow, the "beast" (more accurately an army experiment gone awry). Unbeknownst to Catherine, Vincent had rescued her nine years earlier on the night her mother was killed and now the two of them are exploring their connection with each other, while providing mutual assistance in solving crimes in the show's more procedural approach than the original had. The show from the '80s was decidedly more fantasy-oriented in nature, with Ron Perlman's Vincent more of a noble lion-man, who lives among a society situated in a series of tunnels beneath the streets of New York. Linda Hamilton, of course, played that show's Beauty. In the following video interview - which includes the participation of CBM's Ed Gross - Kristin Kreuk and Jay Ryan discuss the show and their roles. |

Posted: 12 Aug 2012 10:02 AM PDT So a friend and I recently got into a debate about which of these two famous trilogies had the best acting. As much as I might like the original Star Wars trilogy, I just don't think the acting itself was anything special. My friend strongly disagrees. In my eyes, LotR just had some amazingly talented actors involved, so it's hardly even a fair comparison really. What do you guys think? [link] [7 comments] |

To Hotel Hell and Back: Gordon Ramsay Airs Hotels' Dirty Laundry Posted: 12 Aug 2012 09:25 AM PDT Anyone can own a hotel, and that's a huge problem. On Gordon Ramsay's new Fox series Hotel Hell (premiering Monday, 8/7c, Fox), the famed chef and restaurateur turns his attention to struggling hotels, motels and bed & breakfasts. And although the various businesses have different difficulties, the crux of the problem usually comes down to the owners. "Because they've got the money, they think that they've got the right to dictate what they should be serving to the public because they've bought the place," Ramsay told reporters on a call. "That isn't the case." Other Links From TVGuide.com |
