DREDD Blu-ray Trailer

Dredd had a rumored budget of $50M and has so far earned a combined box office gross of $30.9M. It's safe to say that we probably won't be getting a sequel, which is a shame because it was one of the better action films of the summer. The film has yet to premiere in Japan so if it can still earn a bit more but the odds of the film turning a profit or even matching its budget are low. FEATURE: Five Reasons To Be Excited For MAN OF STEEL

Posted: 19 Dec 2012 09:30 AM PST

The world may not be ready for Superman, but audiences were ready for the new trailer that Warner Brothers released last week. The dust has settled on the trailer unavailing, and while people are excited about the film, I figured I'd put together this list of things that should get you more excited for the movie. Check out the list below and feel free to add things your excited for in the comment section below. Henry Cavill As Superman A lot was made out of Zack Snyder casting a British actor as the very all American character of Superman. However, when the first photo of Cavill popped up you can just see this guy was born to play Superman. There were some concerns on how well he could pull of an American accent as well. These concerns were immediately erased for me when I heard Cavill's monologue at the end to the trailer

Rapper/Actor Tip ‘T.I.’ Harris Lost A Role In IRON MAN 3

Posted: 19 Dec 2012 09:27 AM PST

Rapper-turned-actor T.I., Clifford Joseph Harris, revealed back in March that he was being courted for a role in an existing Marvel franchise's newest installment. And while promoting his latest album, via Rap-Up TV, the Grammy-winning artist not only confirmed that Iron Man 3 was the film in question, but also that he turned it down. Check the video interview with the ATL star below. "I was being considered for this one film. Now that it's over with, I can say it. Iron Man 3. I was being considered for Iron Man 3 and it wasn't to be Iron Man, it was to be another character in the film but our schedules did not align and they had to do their little movie anyway. I told them go on ahead, I didn't want to get in their way. [laughs] But yeah man, I mean, I think my dream movie is an action-comedy. I

First Possible Plot Details For STAR WARS: EPISODE VII Emerge

Posted: 19 Dec 2012 09:23 AM PST

Reuters have posted a report about the Guatemalan rainforest which George Lucas used as 'Yavin 4' in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. It was from this planet that the Rebels launched their attack on the Death Star from, and if the following is to be believed, it appears as if we should expect to see it return in Disney's currently untitled Episode VII...sort of. "Yavin 4 and the rebel base return to the Star Wars plot in the forthcoming Episode VII, announced in October by the Walt Disney Co, in which Skywalker comes back to the planet to build a Jedi Knight academy. However, fans said that Disney will likely film those scenes in a studio rather than return to Tikal." They don't reveal where exactly this information came from, but it sounds like more than simple speculation on their part. On the other hand, the fact they say,

Iron Man 3 Merchandise Reveals Tony Stark's Iron Assemblers Battle Vehicle

Posted: 19 Dec 2012 09:09 AM PST

Iron Man 3 is gearing up to be one of 2013's biggest movies, coming exactly one year since we last saw Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark in Marvel's The Avengers. With the release comes the inevitable barrage of merchandise, which will include toys, clothing, toothbrushes, and Diet Dr. Pepper soda cans.

Today, we get a look at a few new items, including Hasbro's Iron Assemblers Battle Vehicle. According to the packaging, this is a vehicle used in the film, which is capable of launching Tony Stark out on the street in a pair of inline skates (we're not making this up). We also get a look at a new 12-inch action figure featuring the Iron Man 1 hero suit. Speculation is that after Mandarin destroys Tony Stark's mansion and all of his belongings, the hero is forced to go back to his roots, and the iconic suit that made him famous. Finally, we get a look at the Stark Ironworks logo as seen on a T-shirt. How excited are you to start collecting Iron Man 3 merchandise? Are you happy that Stark is going back to his original red and gold costume? How about those inline skates?

Luke Skywakler to Run Jedi Academy on Yavin 4 in Star Wars Episode VII

Posted: 19 Dec 2012 08:58 AM PST

Star Wars: Episode VII will feature Luke Skywalker building a Jedi Academy on Yavin 4

The impending Mayan apocalypse has provided us with an intriguing possibility for the highly-anticipated Star Wars: Episode VII. When George Lucas shot Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope, he used the Guatemalan city of Tikal for the Rebel base on Yavin 4, the site where Luke Skywalker and Han Solo launched their attack on the Death Star. That city has become a longtime tourist destination for Star Wars fans, and is at the heart of the impending apocalypse that will supposedly happen when the Mayan calendar ends on December 21. A new story about the city has revealed that Disney plans on returning to Yavin 4 in Star Wars: Episode VII, although they will not shoot in Tikal.

"Yavin 4 and the rebel base return to the Star Wars plot in the forthcoming Episode VII, announced in October by the Walt Disney Co, in which Skywalker comes back to the planet to build a Jedi Knight academy. However, fans said that Disney will likely film those scenes in a studio rather than return to Tikal."

Nothing has been confirmed by Disney at this time, especially since screenwriter Michael Arndt is still working on the script. However, he did turn in a 50-page treatment before starting work on the screenplay, so this plot detail may have come from there. Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, and Carrie Fisher have expressed interest in returning as Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, and Princess Leia, although it isn't known if their deals are finalized, or if negotiations have begun.

George Lucas chose the city of Tikal after seeing a poster of the Temple Four structure at a travel agency. He sent a crew to shoot in the city in March 1977, in the midst of Guatemala's 36-year-old civil war.

Star Wars: Episode VII comes to theaters in 2015.

Did Sandy Hook Gunman Snap After Learning Mom Wanted Him Committed?

Posted: 19 Dec 2012 10:17 AM PST

As more details surface about the young man who killed 26 people at the Sandy Hook Elementary School last Friday, it is now being reported he may have lost control when he found out his mother wanted to commit him to a psychiatric facility.

A local resident familiar with the killer's family told FoxNews.com that Adam Lanza, who reportedly suffered from Asperger's syndrome, along with unspecified mental and emotional problems, targeted his mother, Nancy, and the school in Newtown where she volunteered because he believed she loved the school "more than she loved him."

Original Script For THE WOLVERINE Had Only One Mutant

Posted: 19 Dec 2012 08:57 AM PST

Fans were pretty happy with the team of McQuarrie (The Usual Suspects) and Aronofsky (Black Swan, The Wrestler) being the guiding creative force behind the second solo Wolverine film. In the end, things didn't work out and James Mangold who's by no means a slouch(Walk the Line, 3:10 to Yuma) , stepped in. It's pretty much confirmed that Mangold has tweaked the script to at least add one mutant, The Silver Samurai and is rumored to have added a host of other X-Men in cameo roles to start building their own cinematic universe at Fox. Below, McQuarrie talks a bit about the original plans for the film. "Well you know, it was an X-Men movie – it was a Marvel movie – but it existed very much in a real world. And more than anything, I love it for the very fact that – at least in the script I

I have a guilty pleasure for movies that say the title in the movie. Reddit, what are your favorite title drops?

Posted: 19 Dec 2012 10:00 AM PST

I know a lot of people think it's silly when movies say the title at some point in the dialogue, but I glee like a little girl inside when I catch them doing it. I'll admit that many are too corny even for me (I'm looking at you, Mr. Bond.), but here are some of my favorites.
