Lee Pace Dishes On Prepping For ‘Star-Lord’ Audition For GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Posted: 07 Dec 2012 09:43 AM PST Actor Lee Pace is among the names reportedly on Marvel Studios' short-list of actors that're testing for Guardians of the Galaxy's lead role, Peter Quill AKA Star-Lord. And MTV News recently caught up with The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey actor, and he not only confirmed that he's auditioning, but also that he's read the script. Watch the video chat below! Oblivion Poster; First Trailer Arrives Sunday, December 9th Posted: 07 Dec 2012 09:36 AM PST Universal Pictures has debuted the first poster for Oblivion, director Joseph Kosinski's adaptation of his own graphic novel series. Tom Cruise stars as Jack Harper, one of the last men on Earth who repairs the drones tasked with retrieving vital resources from the planet. His whole world is turned upside down when he encounters a female pilot who crash lands on the planet, and they go on a journey of discovery that forces him to question everything he thinks he knows. Take a look at this one-sheet featuring Tom Cruise gazing at a massive urban waterfall. The first trailer will debut online this Sunday, December 9, so stay tuned. Oblivion comes to theaters April 12th, 2013 and stars Tom Cruise, Morgan Freeman, Olga Kurylenko, Andrea Riseborough, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Melissa Leo. The film is directed by Joseph Kosinski. |

WETA's Joe Letteri On IRON MAN 3, MAN OF STEEL, AVATAR And PLANET OF THE APES Sequels & More Posted: 07 Dec 2012 08:36 AM PST Speaking with Collider while promoting the release of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, WETA Digital's senior visual effects supervisor Joe Letteri talks about some of the upcoming projects that the CGI studio is currently working. He offers an update on 20th Century Fox's Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes (which hits theaters May 23rd, 2014), and also reveals that WETA is only working on the early portions of Warner Bros.' Man Of Steel (June 14th, 2013). He additionally comments on working on such an iconic character as Superman. he also updates on James Cameron's Avatar sequels, saying that WETA isn't actively working on them beyond upgrading the motion-capture technology until the director gives him a complete story. Finally, Letteri confirms that WETA is working on Marvel Studios' Iron Man 3 (May 3rd, 2013) and Fox's The Wolverine (July 26th, 2013), but only on specific sequences.
