Posted: 27 Mar 2011 10:57 AM PDT The folks at the LA Times' Hero Complex has landed an exclusive on whose the latest to join Zack Snyder's much-anticipated Superman: Man Of Steel. Portraying none other than the lovely Lois Lane, The Fighter Academy-award nominated actress Amy Adams is set. Check out what Snyder had to say. "There was a big, giant search for Lois," Snyder said. "For us it was a big thing and obviously a really important role. We did a lot of auditioning but we had this meeting with Amy Adams and after that I just felt she was perfect for it." "It goes back to what I've said about Superman and making him really understandable for today. What's important to us is making him relebant and real and making him empathetic to today's audience so that we understand the decisions he makes. That applies to Lois as well. | Comics: Geoff Johns Set To Breathe New Life Into Aquaman Posted: 27 Mar 2011 10:18 AM PDT Aquaman has always been a bit of a love him or loathe him type character in the DC universe. With many writers taking a stab at brining some credibility to The King Of Atlantis over the years, Geoff Johns succeeding in at least making people take notice after the events of Blackest Night, and leading into (the currently running) Brightest Day. Now Johns looks to continue his good work by taking writing duties on Aquaman's brand new title.. "After BRIGHTEST DAY I'll be moving over to a new book - AQUAMAN #1 coming later this year!! :)" No confirmation on when exactly this will be with us, or if it will be a mini series or an ongoing title. In the first image, we see the infamous Wall, which — along with the sacrifices of the dedicated Night Watch — help protect the Seven Kingdoms from the any threats from the northern border. Wildings somehow get through at times. Next, we get a better look at King's Landing, the capital of Westeros and the Seven Kingdoms, and sits to the south on the Blackwater river. It looks rather regal, doesn't it? Too bad it's so polluted. King's Landing is also the home of the Iron Throne, a throne of swords HBO gave a peek of earlier with Eddard Stark (Sean Bean) sitting upon it. Finally, we see two pictures of Winterfell, the ancestral castle of House Stark. Can you tell it was built upon hot springs? Game of Thrones premieres on April 17 at 9/8c on HBO |
