Super Bowl Bonanza! Daring Bets and New Ads -- Beckham in Briefs!

Posted: 01 Feb 2012 10:57 AM PST

The outcome of this year's Super Bowl involving the high-stakes bet between "Extra's" Maria Menounos and AJ Calloway will determine whether Maria will show some skin in a NY Giants bikini in Times Square, or whether AJ will sport a New England Patriots cheerleader uniform. (Click here to cast your vote!)

In addition to this dicey gamble between Menounos and Calloway, the 2012 Super Bowl will feature some celebrity-driven commercials, including soccer star David Beckham looking seductive in an H&M "Bodywear" collection.

"X Factor" champ Melanie Amaro will star in a humorous Pepsi ad along with Sir Elton John.

Check out the behind-the-scenes videos for these... and take a look back at the best Super Bowl commercials of all time!

10 Best Super Bowl Commercials

10. Budweiser Wasabi

Remember the "Wassup" commercials? Here's a hilarious twist from 2000.

9. Cindy Crawford's Pepsi Commerical

In this one from 1991, supermodel Crawford simply downs a Pepsi. Pretty sure about half the male population decided to have a Pepsi right afterwards.

8. The Budweiser Frogs

They're cute - and the drink beer. Perfect.

7. Wendy's 'Where's the Beef?'

This little old lady from the classic 1984 commercial might be the most oft-quoted -- and most annoying -- person of all time.

6. Apple Macintosh

No Super Bowl commercial is more culturally significant that the 1984 Apple Macintosh ad, kick starting the technology revolution.

5. McDonald's: Larry Bird vs. Michael Jordan

This 1993 commercial shows two NBA giants playing horse - among other things.

4. Britney Spear's Pepsi Commercial

The singer drinks Pepsi through the decades in this 2007 ad.

3. Coke's Mean Joe Greene

Going back to 1979, this might be the first truly great and memorable Super Bowl commercial.

2. E*Trade Baby Commericals

So many to choose from, all of them are hilarious. This one is from 2009.

1. Betty White's Snickers Commercial

Honestly, what did we ever do for comedy before Betty White?

Darth Vader/Passat

And as an added bonus, 2011's favorite Super Bowl ad... that little Darth Vader trying to use the Force!

'The Voice' Coaches: 'It's Just So Wrong and So Amazing'

Posted: 01 Feb 2012 10:42 AM PST

Rolling Stone magazine went inside the NBC hit show "The Voice," catching all the friendly banter between coaches Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera and Blake Shelton.

Levine marveled, "Just look at the four of us. It's just so wrong and so amazing."

Aguilera added, "You have to be a pretty strong girl to stay up in the mix with the guys. It's a lot. It's a crazy locker-room kind of situation."

Although the coaches spend a lot of time teasing each other, Levine admitted he's jealous of Shelton's cowboy cool. "Blake can say anything or do anything. If I was like, 'I'm drunk at 4:00!' I'd be attacked. He's like, 'It's cool, f**k you, I just shot a f**king moose, kiss my ass!' He can say whatever he wants."

What was the first time you fell asleep in a movie theater?

Posted: 01 Feb 2012 07:10 AM PST

...Saw a post about Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow being criminally underrated. For me, it remains the only movie I ever fall asleep during while in a movie theater.

What's the one movie moment from your childhood that scared the shit out of you as a kid?

Posted: 01 Feb 2012 09:34 AM PST

For me, it would have to be the original RoboCop, when that guy gets acid thrown on him and he's walking around moaning, looking all melted. And then he gets hit by a car and fucking explodes with his head on the windshield. I couldn't sleep for days, as I was about 7 at the time.

Here's a picture

Best scene around a dinner table?

Posted: 01 Feb 2012 09:17 AM PST

I am doing an art installation using dialogue from dinner table scenes. One of my favourites is this one in Donnie Darko.

What are your favourite scenes that take place around a dinner table? (well I guess they could be eating any meal)
