Are Kobe Bryant and Wife Reconciling?

Posted: 15 Feb 2012 10:48 AM PST

If a picture's worth a thousand words, then a recent one of NBA player Kobe Bryant kissing his estranged wife, Vanessa, is a romance novel.

After Vanessa showed up for the Lakers Valentine's Day game against the Atlanta Hawks, the two were caught sharing a smooch in the tunnel on the way into the locker room (click here to see the photo). TMZ reports Vanessa and Kobe are indeed discussing getting back together.

Vanessa filed for divorce in December and reportedly will receive all three of their Newport Beach estates. The divorce will not be finalized until June.

Adele: '21' Hits 20 Weeks at No. 1, Ties Whitney Houston's 'Bodyguard' Record, Announces 'Rumour Has It' Single

And the Adele/Whitney Houston melodrama continues rolling in the metaphorical deep. After sharing Grammy night with Whitney's ghost, Adele announced she'd be quitting music for "four or five years" even as her manager revealed on the red carpet that the '21' song 'Rumour Has It' -- which Spinner picked as our third-best of 2011, despite not being a proper single -- will finally get an official release.

Then today (Feb 15) news broke that '21' had held off a charge by the reunited Van Halen to land atop the Billboard Top 200 album charts for a 20th week, tying Adele with current record-holder -- yep, you guessed it -- Whitney Houston whose soundtrack for 'The Bodyguard' made a similarly mind-blowing chart run back in 1992/1993. '21' saw a Grammy-fueled gain of 95 percent over the previous week, when she was also No. 1.

Cabin Fever: Patient Zero Moves Forward with Director Kaare Andrews

Cabin Fever: Patient Zero moves forward with director Kaare Andrews

After a failed attempt at continuing what could be a promising franchise with the long-delayed Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever, the Indomina Group is moving forward with a prequel to Eli Roth's original 2003 thriller Cabin Fever.

Cabin Fever: Patient Zero will be directed by comic book artist-turned-director Kaare Andrews, best known for his creepy 2010 horror outing Altitude. While that film took place in the sky on an airplane, this latest entry in the Cabin Fever franchise will take place on a boat, as a crew struggles to avoid being consumed by the infamous flesh eating virus after they crash into a desolate island research facility.

Jake Wade Wall, who was responsible for writing the moderately received The Hitcher remake, is on board as screenwriter. He is setting Cabin Fever: Patient Zero up to segue into a fourth sequel entitled Cabin Fever: Outbreak.

Cabin Fever: Outbreak will be written by Debra Sullivan and Adam Marcus. It follows a doctor on a Caribbean island that tries to contain the virus in the aftermath following Cabin Fever: Patient Zero. It is not known if Kaare Andrews will direct both films.

Cabin Fever: Patient Zero comes to theaters in 2013. The film is directed by Kaare Andrews.

Cabin Fever: Outbreak comes to theaters in 2014.

Dear Dan Aykroyd: If you must make a Ghostbusters sequel but can't get Bill Murray to play Venkman, please please please write his character out instead of recasting him.

Posted: 15 Feb 2012 09:19 AM PST

Seriously. Bull Murray is Peter Venkman. No one else will do. If Ray Stantz is old with bad eyes bad knees and bad hips, now unable to be a Ghostbuster, why can't Venkman be dead? Or living on the moon? Anything but recasting that iconic character.

Just my $.02

Do you consider it a SPOILER to tell people beforehand that From Dusk Til Dawn...

Posted: 15 Feb 2012 09:33 AM PST

...is a vampire movie?

Three times in my life (as recently as last week) I've found people who have never heard of this movie and so I put it on telling them that it's a Tarantino crime flick about bank robbers, which is a description that's enough to get people interested, making sure to hide the Netflix synopsis or DVD case.

Watching their reaction when it hits that halfway mark is too delicious.

Has anyone watched Inception in reverse, Memento style?

I thought about editing it. I just don't have the patience for the entire movie to render in final cut, only for it to not work well.
