Żuławski's "Possession" explanation needed

Posted: 01 May 2011 09:39 AM PDT

I've just watched this movie and understood nothing. I've read several reviews, they all say that this film is great and metaphorical, but none of them explained the plot. For example:

  1. Who are these green-eyed twins of the main cheracters?
  2. Why is Marge dead and then is alive?
  3. What is the creature?

And many other questions. Is there any "canonical" explanation or anyone should produce his own?

Question about the Movie Source Code

Posted: 01 May 2011 10:38 AM PDT

Just got back from watching Source Code and I have 1 question.

First off, Duncan Jones is now on my "always watch" list.

But I am really puzzled. Where does the super secret group get the original 'source code'? I understand they are sending him to the final 8 minutes of short term memory, but if everyone on the train was vaporized by the bomb where does that short term memory come from that our Hero is placed into?

Scarlett Johansson Reveals Her New Look For The Avengers!

Posted: 01 May 2011 10:52 AM PDT

Continuing the epic big-screen adventures started in "Iron Man," "The Incredible Hulk," "Iron Man 2," "Thor," and "Captain America: The First Avenger," "Marvel's The Avengers" is the super hero team up of a lifetime. When an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security, Nick Fury, director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. Nothing too exciting I'm afraid (and not a skin tight cat suit in sight unfortunately) but here's our first glimpse of how the actress will look in The Avengers. As you can see from the comparison pictures below, this style is a lot more similar to the Ultimate version of the character seen in the series by Mark Millar and Bryan Hitch. With an all star cast which includes Chris Evans as Captain America, Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man,

In the 46th part of this ongoing series that focuses on the History of Comic Books, producer Derek Crabbe views comics history through the lens of those comic book characters that are lucky enough to be adapted for both movies and television. If you enjoy the musings of James Rolfe or Lewis Lovhaug you'll probably enjoy this vast project which continues with the Filmation produced live-action television series, Secrets of Isis that aired on CBS from 1975 to 1977 !

PART 2: The Making of Thor

Posted: 01 May 2011 10:32 AM PDT

Mythic though they may be, the characters in "Thor" had to be cast using mere human beings. But it would take a handful of talented performers (who met a well-established set of criteria for everything from stature to physicality) to breathe life into the inhabitants of the three worlds that comprise Marvel's tale of the god of thunder and his family, fellow warriors and mortal enemies. "Chris Hemsworth looks like a super hero," says executive producer and Marvel originator Stan Lee. "Out of make-up and wardrobe, he's a really strong, soulful, emotional guy. Dressed as Thor, he looks like he has the maturity and wisdom to carry the weight of the world on his shoulders." Veteran stunt coordinator Andy Armstrong agrees: "Chris is the real deal. He's in that rare category where all the women find him very attractive, and yet every guy relates to him, too. Once I saw him

Two More For The Hobbit

It seems Jackson has been true to his word and wasted no time in replacing actor Rob Kazinsky(who had to leave the project due to personal reasons) as Fili, one half of the two youngest Dwarves in the group, Fili and Kili. I haven't heard of his replacement, Dean O'Gorman, but Jackson has the following to say.. "Dean's a terrific Kiwi actor, who I am thrilled to be working with. He's recently been in an excellent TV series down here called The Almighty Johnsons, and I should let fans of that show know that our shooting schedule allows Dean to continue with a second series next year. Dean will be joining us next week." Thranduil, the Elf king has also been cast. And if you have seen Tarsem Singh's The Fall you will remember Lee Pace, who gave a fantastic performance as the bed ridden actor. He has also appeared in the popular
