New X-Men: First Class Images Of Magneto, Professor X And Beast Revealed! Posted: 14 May 2011 10:03 AM PDT X-Men: First Class charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga, and reveals a secret history of famous global events. Before mutants had revealed themselves to the world, and before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Not archenemies, they were instead at first the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop Armageddon. In the process, a grave rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto's Brotherhood and Professor X's X-Men. X-Men: First Class is set to be released in the UK on June 1st and in the US on June 2nd. |

UPDATE: Over Forty All-New X-Men: First Class Stills Revealed! Posted: 14 May 2011 07:36 AM PDT Apparently, earlier today the folks at IMDB unloaded several new stills from Fox's Matthew Vaughn-directed X-Men: First Class prequel. Not too long before they took them down, for unknown reasons, Stark Industries managed to snag over twenty of the stills. And now, while they may be frames from an early cut of the film, you can check them out below. Red Riding Gets Writer James Vanderbilt Posted: 14 May 2011 09:56 AM PDT James Vanderbilt, screenwriter behind Zodiac and the upcoming The Amazing Spider-Man, has been hired to pen Red Riding for director Ridley Scott. James Vanderbilt will be working from the four part book series by author David Peace, which follow a series of murders that took place in London between 1974 and 1983. The books were turned into a trio of British TV movies, which were released theatrically in the states in 2010: Red Riding: 1974, Red Riding: 1980, and Red Riding: 1983. There isn't a set start date for Red Riding just yet. Ridley Scott is currently in the midst of shooting his Alien spin-off/prequel Prometheus, which will arrive in theaters June 8th, 2012. Red Riding may not make its theatrical debut until at least 2014. Red Riding is in development . |
Pamela Anderson Wants to Rescue Horses in NYC Posted: 14 May 2011 10:03 AM PDT Actress and animal activist Pamela Anderson is on a new mission to stop the mistreatment of horses in New York City, by asking the city to ban horse-drawn carriage rides. Anderson talked with her "Dancing with the Stars" pal Tony Dovolani about it. "I don't think the horses are being taken care of very well. I think they have miserable lives. There are plenty of sanctuaries that are willing to take them in and get them out of the streets of New York. She says cities like London and Paris have already banned the carriage rides. "People that see the horses wandering around feel bad for them, so most cities have banned them. I just hope NY is going to, too." Instead, Anderson suggests using old classic cars. "It has much political support because the carriage drivers will have the first crack at obtaining the licenses to drive these beautiful classic cars, which will be a lure to tourists and show that one can have a fabulous New York experience without dragging animals into it." "Extra" and PopEater want to know what you think. |

Snow White and the Huntsman Confirms Chris Hemsworth Posted: 14 May 2011 09:27 AM PDT On Monday, it was reported that Chris Hemsworth was in talks to take over the Huntsman role in Universal's revisionist fairy tale Snow White and the Huntsman. Today it has been confirmed that the Thor actor will play the part. Universal has taken a long and winding road towards finding its Huntsman to star opposite Kristen Stewart, the movie's Snow White. Viggo Mortensen and Hugh Jackman both passed on the role, and at one point, Joel Edgerton had considered taking on the challenge. Chris Hemsworth joins a cast that also includes Charlize Theron as the Evil Queen, who hires the Huntsman to kill Snow White, and Sam Claflin as the Prince and lover of our dark haired, dwarf-loving heroine. An exact start date for Snow White and the Huntsman hasn't been revealed yet, but director Rupert Sanders will probably have his fine cast in front of a camera before the year is out. Snow White and the Huntsman comes to theaters December 21st, 2012 and stars Kristen Stewart, Charlize Theron, Sam Claflin, Chris Hemsworth. The film is directed by Rupert Sanders. |
