Megan Fox Wants to Be Carrie

Posted: 23 May 2011 11:09 AM PDT

Megan Fox is Carrie?

It was announced last week that MGM is moving forward on a planned remake of Stephen King's Carrie, with Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa penning a screenplay that will remain truer to the novel than Brian De Palma's 1976 adaptation did.

Today, it has been revealed that Megan Fox, despite being one of the most attractive women on the planet and twenty-five years old, is actively pursuing the lead character of Carrie, a homely picked-upon high school outcast. Casting that will surely have Stephen King rolling over in his customized, California King-sized casket that he uses as a bed. The actress doesn't think that her looks or age will stand in the way of her landing the role.

Here is what an insider close to the actress had to say:

"Megan is a huge fan of the original and would love the chance to play the lead. She's 25 now but she's sure she could still do justice to teenage Carrie. She's told her people to make it happen."

The same source goes onto claim that Megan Fox is seeking the lead in Carrie to distance herself from her Transformers persona. That is why she has been adamant about turning down the role of Wonder Woman in a theatrical version of the DC Comics character.

It is believed that if Megan Fox does not secure the role of Carrie, she will take a break from Hollywood for a starring role on Broadway.

Carrie is in development .

Carrie was released November 3rd, 1976 and stars Sissy Spacek, Piper Laurie, Amy Irving, William Katt, Betty Buckley, Nancy Allen, John Travolta, P.J. Soles. The film is directed by Brian De Palma.

Felicia Day will reportedly star as Abigail Brand in The Avengers

'DWTS' Finale Preview: The Final Three

"Dancing with the Stars" judge Bruno Tonioli stopped by The Grove and shared his thoughts about each of the final dancing duos.
dwst-stars.jpg
Of Kirstie Alley and Maks Chmerkovskiy, Tonioli told "Extra's" Terri Seymour, "She's a natural, especially in Latin. She's very, very good. She just has to put the finishes into what she does, strength and cleanliness." For her part, Alley is ready to stop talking about her age. "I swear to God, when I signed up here, I thought I was cute and young and then everyone's like, 'Oh, you're like a million' and I'm like, really?" As for Hines Ward and Kym Johnson, Tonioli said, "I think his strength, in a way, is his weakness, because what we've come to expect now is so brilliant every time." Ward is just happy to be here. "I'm gonna have fun with it. You know, in my opinion, I've already won." He is also relieved his partner is back on the dance floor after injuring her neck in a fall during rehearsal. "I mean, just the matter that she's dancing again." And finally, there's Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas. "Oh Chelsea, that little star!" gushed Tonioli. "Most difficult choreography, most demanding music." Has it sunk-in for Chelsea that she's a finalist? "I don't think. [turning to Mark] Has it for you?" Ballas replied, "Yeah, cause all I can think about is getting rid of this sickness." The "Dancing with the Stars" finale begins tonight on ABC!

Arnold Schwarzenegger's 'Dirty Dossier': No Beauty Contest

Posted: 23 May 2011 11:14 AM PDT

Making headline news again, ex-California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger reportedly liked to have affairs with less attractive women because they swooned all over him and were appreciative of his attention, unlike beautiful women.

arnold-schwarzenegger.jpg

The surprising news comes from a "dirty dossier," compiled by former high-profile L.A. investigator Anthony Pellicano, who is currently serving a three-year sentence in federal prison. "He sees himself as the dominant, beautiful one," the report reveals. "The physical is most important to him and he does not want to be upstaged or lose the spotlight in company of a strikingly beautiful woman."

The files exposed many more skeletons from Schwarzenegger's closet, including his alleged longtime on/off affair with Gigi Goyette, whom he allegedly flew to the set to be with him while filming 1990's "Total Recall."

"The girls on set could not understand why he was bringing this plain girl down when they were all willing and able to help him commit adultery," the report said. The dossier revealed that another mistress, who knew about the actor's interest in average-looking women, explained, "Schwarzenegger enjoys sex with plain women because they tend to demonstrate more admiration, adoration and excitement over his body."

Arnold and his former housekeeper and lover, Mildred Patty Baena, have a 13-year-old son -- who looks very much like the "Terminator" star. Baena and her son are currently in seclusion in L.A. and refuse to talk about the affair with anyone, at any price, according to her lawyer, Michael Saltz.

Arnold & Maria: Through the Years

Meanwhile, the actor's estranged wife, Maria Shriver, has been shopping for another home in L.A., but has yet to file for divorce. It is believed the couple has a prenuptial agreement in place, although the length of their marriage and Schwarzenegger's infidelity could likely make the document moot in court.

If Shriver does decide to file for divorce, she could claim over $200 million from her ex's multi-million-dollar fortune. Maria has reportedly hired top Hollywood divorce lawyer, Laura Wasser, should she choose to file.

Schwarzenegger's daughter, Katherine, recently took to Twitter to send out messages about forgiveness. "Sometimes we forgive people cause we want them back in our lives," the 21-year-old tweeted. "Holding grudges is bad for your health. Forgive and let go. It doesn't mean we keep them around either," read another tweet.

The Dallas Comic-Con was held over the weekend, and comic book legend Stan Lee participated in one of the panel discussions where he revealed what his cameo role is in The Amazing Spider-Man. Take a look at what he had to say below.

"There is a big battle going on with Spider-Man and the Lizard in a library. I am the librarian. And I am stamping books. I am just stamping books. I have earphones on, and I'm listening to music. While I'm stamping the books, I am (dancing). And this life and death battle is going on behind me. But I don't know this! It looks so funny. And I look so dumb. It always matters to me if I look dumb. That's it!"

The Biggest Movie of All Time 3D Poster

Posted: 23 May 2011 10:35 AM PDT

Icon Entertainment has revealed the first poster for The Biggest Movie of All Time 3D, which is currently in pre-production and set for release in 2012. Take a look at the poster for this new spoof below from directors Aaron Seltzer and Jason Friedberg, which will parody the blockbuster Avatar.

The Biggest Movie of All Time 3D Poster

In Scary Movie we spoofed the creepy teen horror genre, in Date Movie we took on clich&#233 romantic comedies, Epic Movie we parodied bloated blockbusters, Meet the Spartans we lampooned the ultra macho 300 and in Vampires Suck we skewered the cultural phenomenon Twilight. But our new movie will dare spoof the biggest, boldest and most successful movie ever made - James Camerons Avatar.

With a domestic box office of nearly 700 million dollars and an overseas haul of over 2 billion, it was only a matter time before this behemoth got a good ribbing. And what could possibly be riper for satire? You got half naked blue people plugging their hair into strange flying horses so they can read their thoughts! And nothing in this mega blockbuster is off limits, from its overly simplified message of "big corporations = bad; tree hugging environmentalist = good," to the broadly drawn characters like the buffed out Colonel who's in a perpetual 'roid rage to the very colorful, glowing and... come on, totally stony world of Pandora. And just like Avatar our movie will be in eye popping 3-D - making it the very first spoof movie ever in this format. It's a perfect showcase for our outrageous sight gags, physical comedy and audacious stunts that will make for a hilarious film and uproarious audience experience.

The Biggest Movie of All Time 3D comes to theaters in 2012. The film is directed by Aaron Seltzer, Jason Friedberg.

Ringo Starr has finally weighed in on an interview he gave back in 2008 which incited Liverpool residents to vandalize a Beatles memorial after he made an apparent gaffe about his birthplace, according to PR Inside.

"It was funny. I thought the whole of Liverpool would laugh," Starr tells British magazine Live.

But clearly some folks couldn't find the humor in the former Beatle telling the BBC's Jonathan Ross that he missed "nothing" about his old stomping grounds.
