how should i watch the prestige?

Posted: 05 Jul 2012 08:58 AM PDT

so i just watched the prestige for the first time yesterday. it was really cool. i liked the depth that was in it much like the other nolan movies. while it was amazing on its own, it felt too "easy" to figure out after i watched it, which is why i came here. inception left me confused and amazed at the end. the prestige didnt do this, so im thinking that i am missing something about it. if i were to rewatch it, what things should i be paying attention to and looking for? what cool aspects of the movie did you guys notice?

THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN: Behind-The-Scenes Of The Epic School Sight Sequence

Posted: 05 Jul 2012 10:49 AM PDT

"The fight sequence in a high school hall is a great example of an all city sequence. Everything in the scene is created visually including the characters and the environment. As a result, it gives us lots of opportunities to do things that we normally couldn't do if we're working with pre-existing photography." "The process begins by producing a visual version of the set that matches the photography and other sequences. Then the visual set and place director works with the layout department to design a fight choreography with simple presentations of the character models. This layout becomes a starting template for editorial. From there, the initial team begins a process of executing believable performances with real weight in Physics." "The Lizard is a massive creature with brute strength while Spiderman is light, quick and agile. The physics of each character need to be convincing. We need to sew each of their

Chicago Music Exchange

So we were amongst the 700,000 or so people who in the last 24 hours discovered Alex Chadwick's 12-minute and 14-second YouTube video entitled "100 Riffs (A Brief History of Rock N' Roll)" -- where Chadwick, from the Chicago Music Exchange, plays 100 rock riffs in a single take.

Having once done a similar exercise here at Spinner, we were curious about what Chadwick picked.

Since its posting the video has received over 1.48 million hits. The video begins with Chadwick playing "Mr. Sandman" by Chet Atkins before diving headlong into classic '50s rock songs like Eddie Cochran's "Summertime Blues" and Chuck Berry's "Johnny B. Goode." There are also some interesting riffs which run into each other, with Dick Dale's "Miserlou" and Sarfaris' "Wipeout" leading into The Beatles' "Day Tripper" and The Who's "Can't Explain."

What's Left of 2012 Summer Movies

Posted: 05 Jul 2012 10:40 AM PDT

Brought to you by AMC's Hometown Security

With 2/3s of the summer movie season left to go, we've already seen the mega-hit Marvel's The Avengers, which took the box office by storm as the first official blockbuster of the year this past May, along with hits like the raunchy Ted, Disney and Pixar's well-received animated adventure Brave, the family favorite Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted, and Ridley Scott's long awaited return to sci-fi with the thriller Prometheus.

Take a look at our movie guide right now!

These films are only scratching at the surface of 2012's summer slate, though, with plenty of action yet to come at the box office as July melts into August, thus finally leaving us in the first weeks of September.

In fact, two of the most anticipated films of the year have yet to come, with The Amazing Spider-Man opening this 4th of July weekend, and The Dark Knight Rises arriving later in the month. But comic book fans aren't the only one's who should be excited.

Action fans still have The Bourne Legacy to root for, and The Expendables 2 promises to blow the lid off of August. Comedy fanatics are in for a treat when Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis go nose-to-nose in The Campaign, and sci-fi geeks are getting a spiffed-up redo of Total Recall. If you like your entertainment on the brainier side, cinema snobs still have Hope Springs and Celeste and Jesse Forever to look forward to as well.

To celebrate the remainder of our most beloved season, and the new AMC reality series Small Town Security, which debuts July 15th, we've collected all of the impending blockbuster and indie releases together in one easy-to-peruse place. It's our "What's Left of 2012 Summer Movies" guide. clickHere to check it out.

James Bond needs to go back to its roots. Unique villians, and ridiculous gadgets.

Posted: 05 Jul 2012 09:38 AM PDT

Don't get me wrong. The Daniel Craig movies are great, but they are more along the lines of being Jason Bourne than James Bond.

Everything is too serious.

I want to see ridiculous gadgets, laser watches... cars with guns and smoke screens, cars that transform into submarines!, Jet packs! And ejector seats!

Epic cars with guns chase scenes with the main theme tuned to every action!

The crazy unique villains, oddjob, jaws, Doctor No, and Gold Finger.

The surf rock! The glorious surf rock!

Hell, i wouldn't mind if they set it back in the 60s/70s

Now im not saying make it as crazy as Austin Powers, just give me back oldschool bond.
