Kaskade spoke to us while on the road on and told us why he feels sub-, or, micro-genres should be done away with, his view on why the first wave of EDM in the early 2000s didn't take off, and how Paris Hilton's DJ tour really doesn't bother him at all. |

Warner Bros. Considering Canceling ALL Showings Of The Dark Knight Rises Posted: 20 Jul 2012 10:16 AM PDT The Wrap reports that Warner Bros., the studio behind The Dark Knight Rises is torn on whether to cancel movie showings across the country after the senseless tragedy in Colordado. An executive reportedly told the site that "Warner was watching the situation and still considering whether to take further measures beyond cancelling the Paris premiere, including cancelling screenings at theater chains". Reported mere moments ago, opinions have already sprung up about whether WB should press forward or halt and re-release a few months down the line. Nothing has been decided at this point however. Personally, I think it should be pulled buy maybe until next week, until all the facts are gathered. Running Time: 2 hrs 45 min Release Date: July 20 2012 (USA) MPAA Rating: PG-13 Starring: Christian Bale, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Tom Hardy, Marion Cotillard, Juno Temple, Anne Hathaway, Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman and Gary Oldman Directed by: Christopher Nolan Written |
Tom Cruise and Suri Hit the Beach Posted: 20 Jul 2012 10:26 AM PDT Suri Cruise got the princess treatment this week while spending time with dad Tom. Father and daughter flew to East Hampton, New York for a beach day on Thursday, reports Us Weekly. Playing in the sand didn't keep the 6-year-old from making her gymnastics class at the Chelsea Piers that afternoon. The pair flew back to NYC via helicopter where she was dropped off for a tumbling session and later picked up by her mother, Katie Holmes. |
The Dark Knight Rises Paris Premiere Cancelled After Shooting Posted: 20 Jul 2012 09:44 AM PDT Warner Bros. has canceled tonight's Paris premiere of The Dark Knight Rises, in the wake of the tragic shooting at a Colorado theater early this morning, that left 12 dead and 38 wounded. The studio has suspended junket interviews with the cast and crew scheduled for today in the French capitol. In related news New York City theaters will see an increase in police protection, to prevent any possible copycat shootings in the aftermath of last night's massacre. Here is a statement released by New York City police commissioner Ray Kelly regarding the added security. "As a precaution against copycats and to raise the comfort levels among movie patrons in the wake of the horrendous shooting in Colorado, the New York City Police Department is providing coverage at theaters where the The Dark Knight Rises is playing in the five boroughs." Christopher Nolan's Batman finale will open in at least 35 theaters today in New York City. Los Angeles authorities have not announced if local theaters will have an increased police presence. The Dark Knight Rises was released July 20th, 2012 and stars Tom Hardy, Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway, Liam Neeson, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Gary Oldman, Marion Cotillard, Morgan Freeman. The film is directed by Christopher Nolan. |

The Dark Knight Rises Takes in $28 Million at Midnight Screenings Posted: 20 Jul 2012 07:12 AM PDT The Dark Knight Rises rang up a record-breaking $28 million from midnight screenings. The mark shatters the superhero midnight record of $18.7 million, set just a few months back by Marvel's The Avengers. Another report indicates that director Christopher Nolan's Batman finale earned as much as $30 million last night, just shy of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1's overall midnight record of $30.2 million. It would be sufficiently more impressive if The Dark Knight Rises manages to best those sparkly vampires, since The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 had the advantage of being released in 3D, with higher ticket prices. Warner Bros. released this final Batman adventure in over 3,700 theaters last night, before opening today in 4,404 theaters. That theater count is the second highest in history, just behind The Twilight Saga: Eclipse's 4,468 theaters. The Dark Knight Rises certainly seems poised to break the all-time three-day box office record of $207.4 million, set by Marvel's The Avengers. Be sure to check back on Sunday to see how this Bat-finale fares in theaters. The Dark Knight Rises was released July 20th, 2012 and stars Tom Hardy, Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway, Liam Neeson, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Gary Oldman, Marion Cotillard, Morgan Freeman. The film is directed by Christopher Nolan. |
