Today we get an IMAX TV spot and a handful of new images as Warner Bros. launches its full hi-res photo gallery. While most of these pics have slowly been doled out over the course of the last year and a half, we do get new photos of Anne Hathaway as Catwoman, Marion Cotillard as Mirada Tate, Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne, Michael Caine as Alfred, Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox, Gary Oldman as Commissioner Gordon, Joseph Gordon-Levitt as John Blake, and director Christopher Nolan marking the iconic bat symbol in chalk. Assuming the blame for the death of D.A. Harvey Dent, the Dark Knight sacrificed everything for what he and Commissioner Gordon both hoped was the greater good. For a time the lie worked, as criminal activity in Gotham City was crushed under the weight of the anti-crime Dent Act. But everything will change with the arrival of a cunning cat burglar with a mysterious agenda. Far more dangerous, however, is the emergence of Bane, a masked terrorist whose ruthless plans for Gotham drive Bruce out of his self-imposed exile. The superhero movie (starring Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone and Rhys Ifans) is currently expected to earn somewhere between $125 million and $140 million during its six day run, although no one seems quite certain how well it will perform this weekend.
