VIDEO GAMES: Marvel Set To Release A HIT-MONKEY Video Game In 2013?

Bleeding Cool have come across www.hitmonkeygame.com, a website seemingly confirming plans for a video game based on the character from High Moon Studios. It features a link to the Marvel HeroHQ discussion forums and is registered by Marvel, so it would appear as if it is almost certain that this is the video game they will be announcing at the San Diego Comic-Con next weekend. Hit-Monkey was created by Daniel Way and Dalibor Talajić in 2010 and appeared in a three-part miniseries before seemingly being killed at the hands of Deadpool a few months later. Comic-Con 2012 is less than a week away, and already we're starting to see some cool swag hit the Internet. This morning, we get our first look at the Jaegers from director Guillermo del Toro's sci-fi epic Pacific Rim. These huge robots will be used to battle giant Kaiju monsters set on destroying planet earth. Check out this first official 1-sheet to get an idea of how big these metal behemoths truly are.

Pacific Rim comes to theaters July 12th, 2013 and stars Idris Elba, Charlie Hunnam, Ron Perlman, Charlie Day, Clifton Collins Jr., Max Martini, Robert Maillet, Rinko Kikuchi. The film is directed by Guillermo del Toro.

Peter Jackson will be bringing The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey to Comic-Con 2012 on Saturday, July 14th as part of the Warner Bros. presentation in Hall H starting at 2:30 pm. To celebrate the long-awaited film's inclusion in this huge pop culture event, the director has revealed a sneak peek at the poster he will be bringing with him. Check out Gandalf (Ian McKellen) as he returns to the Shire for one of his earliest adventure, and then be sure to pick up your copy at the San Diego Convention Center this coming week!

Digital Spy reports that Jim Starlin has come forward with what appears to be proof that he created Thanos before he started working for Marvel. This has resulted in speculation that he may be planning to launch a lawsuit against the publisher following the big screen debut of the villain in billion dollar box office hit, Marvel's The Avengers. He has released the following concept image of the villain which may be used as proof in a claim that he owns the rights to, or at least has an interest in, the Mad Titan. However, it can't be denied that his decision to come forward after all these years in order to make such claims may be influenced by the fact that there's now be a lot of financial interest in the villain. After spending the week doing fun things with daughter Suri, actress Katie Holmes was all business on Friday, spending most of the day in her lawyer's office in Manhattan to discuss the divorce from Tom Cruise.

So far Cruise has kept mum, but his attorney, Bert Fields, gave a statement this week. "Tactically we can't say where Tom will file a divorce case and if he'll be seeking joint custody of Suri," Fields told BBC News.
