This highly anticipated chapter in the Battlestar Galactica saga takes place in the midst of the first Cylon war. Full of ambition and hungry for action, Adama quickly finds himself at odds with his co-pilot, the battle-weary officer Coker (Ben Cotton, Alcatraz). With only 47 days left in his tour of duty, Coker desires an end to battle as much as Adama craves its onset. Lili Bord&#225n (Silent Witness) also stars.

The Lost Boys 4 Is Dead and the Frog Brothers TV Series Is Homeless

Posted: 23 Nov 2012 10:04 AM PST

The Frog Brothers are homeless and The Lost Boys 4 is dead

The Lost Boys franchise is a strange one. A cult hit from 1987, it was supposed to get a proper sequel two years after its release, which would have revolved around The Lost Girls. That never came to fruition. But the film, which was notable for bringing together two of that eras biggest teen stars, The Two Coreys, the late Corey Haim and Corey Feldman, continued to have a solid shelf life throughout the years.

In 2008, Warner Premiere, the home video division of Warner Bros., notable for turning some of the studios past hits into straight-to-DVD franchise, decided to revive The Lost Boys with Lost Boys: The Tribe, a film the fans didn't really want. It was more of a reboot than a true sequel, and it was quite disappointing. Except for the inclusion of its one returning star, Corey Feldman, who reprised his role as Edgar Frog, one half of the Frog Brothers, people despised most things about it. A true sequel, one that included Sam Emerson (Corey Haim) and Alan Frog (Jamison Newlander) was what they fans truly wanted.

Despite being a bad movie that not many people seemed to enjoy, Lost Boys: The Tribe was a big enough hit to warrant Lost Boys: The Thirst in 2010. Though Corey Haim wasn't returning as Sam (he was still alive during the time of production), the film was a true Frog Brothers adventure. And it was a surprise for fans, and it seemed to get the franchise back on track, and sailing in the right direction. Everyone was excited about the movie, and excited about future sequels. Lost Boys 4 was quickly building steam, and was set to revolve around The Frog Brothers battling a seaside Werewolf clan. There was even talk of a Frog Brothers TV series, which would have been in the same vein as Supernatural. Things were coming together fast, and it seemed like the Frog Brothers would be living on.

Then, on August 13th of 2012, Warner Bros. pulled the plug on Warner Premiere, due to growing economic uncertainty and a huge slump on the DVD market. What did that mean for Lost Boys 4?

We really had no clue, and no one was talking. Now, though, with his latest film 6 Degrees of Hell set for release this Tuesday, November 27th, Corey Feldman has agreed to update us on the looming state of The Frog Brothers. As of now, Lost Boys 4 is dead, and The Frog Brothers TV series is homeless.

"I am not sure if you are aware, but Warner Premiere has folded. The company that was assigned to make the films in The Lost Boys franchise are no longer in business. Therefore, that leaves The Lost Boys without a home. The Frog Brothers are homeless at the moment.

I would like to see the franchise stay alive. There is not a day that passes, that a fan doesn't write to me and say, "What about the next The Lost Boys? Where is Lost Boys 4? What about another Frog Brothers movie? Frog Brothers TV show? Frog Brothers cartoon?

People love it. People want to see more of it. Jamison Newlander and I are always down to get back into bed. But that being said, it's Warner Bros. that drives that boat. It is a Warner Bros. film, it's a Warner Bros. franchise. Without Warner Bros. behind it, there are no more Frog Brothers. The Bros. Warner need to get back into bed with The Bros. Frog. Then we can all have a great big movie orgy. Until then, we are all left as homeless Frogs."

Does anyone care anymore? Are you glad the franchise is done? Or do you want more Frog Brothers in your future?

The Lost Boys was released July 31st, 1987 and stars Jason Patric, Corey Haim, Dianne Wiest, Barnard Hughes, Edward Herrmann, Kiefer Sutherland, Jami Gertz, Corey Feldman. The film is directed by Joel Schumacher.

The Dark Knight Rises Bane Blu-ray Featurette and Concept Art

Posted: 23 Nov 2012 10:06 AM PST

Earlier this week, we showed you 45 photos from the Batman vs. Bane fight in The Dark Knight Rises, debuting on Blu-ray and DVD December 4. As it turns out, we have even more Bat-goodies to get you through the long weekend, in anticipation of this hot holiday title. We have two featurettes from the upcoming Blu-ray, one that explores the football scene where Bane (Tom Hardy) implodes the Gotham City football field, and another that shows Tom Hardy's impressive transformation into the iconic villain. We also have three concept art images that show a few of the earlier looks director Christopher Nolan experimented with for Bane, before settling on the villain's final look. Is it just me, or do these concept shots look like some sort of evil bird-human hybrid creatures? Or maybe masked professional wrestlers? At any rate, enjoy the Bane that could have been with these new images, which are featured on a behind-the-scenes documentary on The Dark Knight Rises Blu-ray special features.

What is your favourite shootout scene?

Posted: 23 Nov 2012 08:52 AM PST

Noticed another thread in /r/videos showing off the "best shoot out scene ever" and thought it'd be nice to open up a thread to discuss some of the best shootout scenes you guys have enjoyed.

To get the ball rolling, I'm going to nominate L.A. Confidential's shootout at the Victory Motel near the end one of my favourite shootout scenes of all time.

As far as a stand alone shootout, it's probably not the BEST, but after watching the movie it stands out as a great climax with two very different characters coming together to murder kill injustice.

Here is a link to the shoot out

and I'd like to hear yours.

Edit: Oh and you don't have to link to the scene itself if you don't want to.

Now while the plot isn't too hard to figure out, it was fun to try and guess what they were talking about in some scenes.

So I'm curious, does anyone else like doing this?

Hugh Jackman On How Russel Crowe Helped Him Get The Part Of Wolverine

Posted: 23 Nov 2012 08:44 AM PST

The Wolverine is gearing up for a release of next year, and we have already seen some cool stuff from it. Between the poster, official stills, and the fact that we will get the trailer early next year people are excited about it. Some people may not know this, but Russel Crowe was asked to play Wolverine in Bryan Singer's first X-Men movie, and turned it down. Hugh Jackman spoke with Triple M 104.9FM, where he attributes Crowe for getting him the part of Logan/Wolverine. "Bryan Singer asked Rusty (Crowe) to do Wolverine, and he said, 'Nah mate I've just done 'Gladiator', it's not for me but you should look at this guy," said Jackman. When you think about Wolverine on screen you automatically think of Jackman. The actor who has brought Wolvie to life is now on his fifth movie as the character, so it would be a little hard
