ABC Network Chief Says Marvel's AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. Tested Well Posted: 14 May 2013 10:36 AM PDT Per Deadline, we have a quote from ABC president Paul Lee who said, "Last year, we had very similar comedies airing agaist each other. Now we have a blockbuster show at 8PM as (ABC comedies are tackling) areas nobody is." Per Televisionary [The Daily Beast], we have word on a possible episode count for not just Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (M.A.o.S.) but all new, original ABC shows as well as talk about inevitable hiatuses. "Originals are being run in batches of 12 [episodes] with a gap," said the network president. The site goes on to report that Lee stated that limited series will fill those gaps. From that report, it appears that M.A.o.S. will have a run of somewhere in the neighborhood of 24 episodes with at least one hiatus after the ~12 episode. But of course, television depends on ratings and if any of the original shows underperform,

I saw this horror movie on witchches and barbed wire once, but don't know the name. Posted: 14 May 2013 10:00 AM PDT I was still a youngster when I saw this scary-ass movie on TV, I dropped in like halfway and didn't understand nothin' but my interest was tickled and I was pulled to the screen. The first part I saw consisted of a woman (I believe) with a couple of guys in a hallway in front of a door, witch they had to open for the woman. They didn't want to go in themselves (too scared or something) anyway, girl goes in, scary stuff down there. Eventually finds a hospital-bed like thing with plastic sheets obscuring the vision, enters the plastic-enclosed "room" to find a person there lying on a hospital bed, the person's skin was completely burned and charred in some places. The second part I remember took place in a big room, seemingly the same building, where an other woman accuses somebody of witchcraft and they are tied to a ladder. The ladder is then slowly dropped towards a fire in the middle of the room. (some more stuff happens but I can't remember it anymore) Eventually the woman accusing the others for witchcraft is torn apart by barbwire in the middle of the sky, resulting in an amazing bloodbath. In the end the main character (woman) together with a child drive away in a dense fog. TL;DR Want to find the name of a horror movie with witches, people burned alive and someone torn apart by barbed wire. [link] [4 comments]

Is it worth seeing Star Trek on a big IMAX screen? Posted: 14 May 2013 09:41 AM PDT I'm seeing Star Trek later this week, and I was considering seeing it on one of the large IMAX screens (76 x 97 feet as opposed to the 28 x 58 IMAX screens found in most theaters). Can anyone offer their advice based on past experience with seeing action movies in IMAX? Thanks. EDIT: To be clear, I'm talking about the extra large IMAX screens. [link] [11 comments] |
