| ‘Scarface’ Actor Mario Machado Dead at 78 Posted: 06 May 2013 10:34 AM PDT L.A. news anchor and actor Mario Machado, who appeared in "Scarface" and "Rocky III," died on Saturday. He was 78. Machado's daughter, Michelle, told the L.A. Times that her father died Saturday from complications of pneumonia at a Los Angeles convalescent facility. Over a decades-long career in the '60s and '70s, Machado was a newsman, producer, TV show host and soccer commentator. He worked at KCBS-TV, its predecessor, and at what is now KCAL-TV. Machado also played a newsman in the "Robocop" films |

Posted: 06 May 2013 10:07 AM PDT September 4, 2010: Katie Nicholl of The Daily Mail reported that: "Now I hear producers are planning to give Scarlett her own role in a break-out movie and are also hoping to land British star Emily Blunt to play the villain in the next Iron Man instalment." Verdict: Well, there is a chance that Marvel did want Emily Blunt to play the role of Maya Hansen, which ended up going to Rebecca Hall... after Jessica Chastain pulled out. And the role is villainous in nature, as she teams up with Aldrich Killian (Guy Pearce). But at the end of the day Emily Blunt didn't get the role, nor do we know if she was actually up for it. Score? Fiction. | Ender's Game Launches Official Website Posted: 06 May 2013 10:09 AM PDT   The official website for Summit Entertainment's Ender's Game has launched, just one day before the first trailer debuts tomorrow, May 7. This website includes a mission statement from the International Fleet, a Next Leader recruitment post, an article about developing a strategic mind, a retrospective Looking Back at the Great Invasion piece, and a population control piece entitled Thirds. The site also includes two photos including Ender (Asa Butterfield) in the mess hall, and another recruit wearing a gas mask. | The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Set Photos Reveal a Huge Gwen Stacy Spoiler Posted: 06 May 2013 09:53 AM PDT  While some productions try to hide everything, from the plot to the main villain, director Marc Webb is letting everything hang out on the set of The Amazing Spider-Man 2. And a new batch of set photos have arrived from New York City that offer up a major spoiler, and hint at where this sequel will end. Stop reading right now: Major Spoilers! lie ahead. Actress Emma Stone appeared on a bridge over the weekend wearing the iconic green coat that Gwen Stacy is seen wearing when she dies in The Amazing Spider-Man issue #121. It has long been reported that The Amazing Spider-Man 2 would set the death of Gwen Stacy in motion. These latest set photos hint that her death may serve as the climax of this film. Does that mean Emma will be absent from The Amazing Spider-Man 3? Maybe she'll appear in flashbacks like Martin Sheen in this next installment. Or, perhaps, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is set to end on a cliffhanger.

| Doctor Strange and Planet Hulk Are Being Eyed for Marvel Phase Three Posted: 06 May 2013 09:52 AM PDT 
"Within the next year or so we'll really start the advanced planning on post - Avengers 2, and I would love Strange to be a part of that. There's a whole supernatural/magic dimension going on in Marvel comics that we haven't ever touched on." When asked about the possibility of Planet Hulk being a part of Phase Three as well, Kevin Feige had this to say. "There's no script in the works or anything, but we are talking about it. All the Hulk energy right now is on Avengers 2, but Mark Ruffalo is signed up [for more films]. What we're excited about exploring and expanding is Mark - and Bruce Banner is not in Planet Hulk at all. The fun of Hulk is his interaction with humans." The rest of Marvel's Phase Two slate includes Thor: The Dark World (November 8), Captain America: The Winter Soldier (April 4, 2014}, Guardians of the Galaxy (August 1, 2014), and The Avengers 2 (May 1, 2015). Doctor Strange is in development . Planet Hulk comes to theaters in 2017 and stars Mark Ruffalo. |
