The Wolverine - Exclusive CinemaCon Footage

Just watched the Green Mile again. I'm wondering how long Paul Edgecomb (Tom Hanks) can expect to live.

Posted: 01 May 2013 09:31 AM PDT

I was watching Green Mile again for the first time in a while. Paul Edgecomb & Mr Jingles (the mouse) were granted unnatural long life from Jon Coffey. If he was 44 when Jon died and is 108 at the end of the movie, then he has been alive for 64 years. Mr. Jingles (I believe) dies at the end of this movie. Given the longest possible life expectance for a mouse (about 2 years) and dividing the length of his life (64 years) 64 / 2 = 32 The mouse lived for 32 times his maximum life span. Would that mean with the approximate life span of Paul Edgecomb to be about 3,000 years?

Edit: Just watched the ending again. I now believe Mr Jingles is still breathing at the end. So at least 3,200 years

Who else could have played Willy Wonka besides Gene Wilder?

Posted: 01 May 2013 08:51 AM PDT

So I have a 4 year and she just started watching this movie. First time I have actually sat and watched it start to finish in maybe 20+ years. Gene Wilder is incredible in this movie. I was sitting wondering if anyone else at that time could have pulled it off. I could not really think of someone that would have made that movie just as good or better. Any ideas?

RUMOR: Who Is At The Top Of The BLACK PANTHER Actor Shortlist?

Posted: 01 May 2013 10:34 AM PDT

Latino Review's El Mayimbe is back with another (possible) scoop. Remember a while ago when Morris Chestnut made a few very interesting Black Panther references on his Twitter account but then removed them shortly after? This prompted Mr Mayimbe to do some digging and according to him, Marvel have a shortlist of actors they are looking at to play Black Panther and at the top is up-and-coming 42 star Chadwick Boseman. Now as we know, Marvel don't actually have a Black Panther movie in production so unless they have been very secretive about meeting with a director and getting something together, it's assumed that the will be casting the character for an appearance in Joss Whedon's sequel to The Avengers. But of course, all speculation -- and any casting rumor at this point should be taken with a grain of salt. However, if Boseman was to nab the role, how would

Ben Kingsley's Mazer Rackham is put on display for the first time in the latest photo for Ender's Game, which will debut its trailer on May 7. Based on the novel by Orson Scott Card, this adaptation is set in a future where the Earth was nearly destroyed by an alien race known as the Formics, had it not been for the heroics of Mazer Rackham. Now, Rackham trains the next generation of heroes at the elite Battle School, where he meets young Ender (Asa Butterfield). Take a look at this photo, then read on to see what the actor had to say about the intricacies of his character.

The actor spoke about the screenplay adaptation by writer-director Gavin Hood, and how it sets up the power and mystery that Mazer Rackham wields.

"In the script, which I think is beautifully written, what come across is the authority and mystery. There's quite a lot said about him in the story before you see him - by the recruits and by his fellow officers - and that's useful as far as preparations."

When asked about the elaborate facial tattoos Mazer Rackham has, the actor explains that it's all a part of his family history.

"Every gesture in the tattoo carries family history, family struggles - it's your past. I was so enthralled. He's in quite a contained, stylized uniform but then this wonderful face tells his warrior history."

Stay tuned for the first trailer for Ender's Game on May 7.

Ender's Game comes to theaters November 1st, 2013 and stars Harrison Ford, Abigail Breslin, Hailee Steinfeld, Asa Butterfield, Ben Kingsley, Viola Davis, Moises Arias, Jimmy Pinchak. The film is directed by Gavin Hood.
