Hugh Jackman Promotes "Free Comic Book Day" 2013 In Video Advertisement Posted: 03 May 2013 11:19 AM PDT There are a lot of great freebies on offer during tomorrow's "Free Comic Book Day", including a sneak peek at Scott Snyder and Jim Lee's Superman: Unchained, the first chapter of Marvel's Infinity event and a collection of The Walking Dead character stories from Image. In the following video, Hugh Jackman promotes the event (and also makes sure to mention his film, The Wolverine). Based on the celebrated comic book arc, this epic action-adventure takes Wolverine, the most iconic character of the X-Men universe, to modern day Japan. Out of his depth in an unknown world he faces his ultimate nemesis in a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed. Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality, emerging more powerful than we have ever seen him before. MEN IN BLACK 4 Moving Forward With Screenwriter Oren Uziel On Board Posted: 03 May 2013 11:05 AM PDT After Men In Black 3 grossed an impressive $625 million at the worldwide box office last year (the highest in the series), it was confirmed that a fourth film was, unsurprisingly, in the works. Now, a writer has been hired. According to The Wrap, screenwriter Oren Uziel (who wrote the Mortal Kombat: Rebirth fanfilm, and was set to co-write a big screen reboot with director Kevin Tancharoen) will pen Men In Black 4. He has also been hired to rewrite the 21 Jump Street sequel (which has a recently announced release date of June 6th, 2014), which he will work on before MIB4. Of course, story details are being kept under wraps. While it hasn't 100% confirmed, it's likely that Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones will reprise their respective roles as Agents J and K, and they both expressed interest in doing another film. Additionally, Uziel has in development at
Movie Review: IRON MAN 3 - A Stark Failure Posted: 03 May 2013 10:50 AM PDT "...What makes Iron Man 3 a bad film starts with the marketing- which consistently pitched the film as a dark and serious undertaking when it's actually a comedic romp that never takes itself seriously no matter how much danger the characters are in." 'It's the first post-Avengers film', that's the unique distinction for Iron Man 3 as well as it being the first film in Phase Two of Marvel's Cinematic Universe. As an American, and especially working around these parts, avoiding spoilers has been incredibly tough. However, aside from the twist concerning the film's main villain, I managed to avoid any other spoilers. So, not knowing any of the particulars of Iron Man 3 beforehand, I entered the theater incredibly optimistic and giddy at the prospect of viewing this year's first Marvel Studios film. I left the theater slightly pissed off. From a fan standpoint, expectations and excitement
Iron Man 3 Earns $15.6 Million from Thursday Night Screenings Posted: 03 May 2013 11:20 AM PDT Marvel's Phase Two sequel Iron Man 3 got off to a great start at the box office last night, taking in $15.6 million from Thursday night preview screenings, which started at 9 PM and ran well past the midnight hour. The mark is still well shy of the all-time midnight record of $43.5 million, held by Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2. Almost exactly one year ago, Marvel's The Avengers earned $18.7 million from its Thursday night screenings, so it seems unlikely that Iron Man 3 will break Marvel's The Avengers' three-day opening weekend record of $207.4 million. Robert Downey Jr. returns as Tony Stark in director Shane Black's sequel, where he must face his greatest enemy yet in The Mandarin, portrayed by Ben Kingsley. Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, and Jon Favreau co-star. After factoring in last night's tally, Iron Man 3 has earned $361 million worldwide, before opening in 4,253 domestic theaters today. Stay tuned throughout the weekend for the latest box office figures. Iron Man 3 was released May 3rd, 2013 and stars Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Jon Favreau, Ben Kingsley, James Badge Dale. The film is directed by Shane Black.

Things I learned watching A Time To Kill 1997 Posted: 03 May 2013 10:09 AM PDT 1-If you are a redneck white supremacist or a poor back man in the deep south, it is required that you have two first names 2-No one in the deep south attempts to pat down or dry off the sweat accumulating on their body. 3-It is entirely plausible that in such a racist, deep southern town that a black man would be voted/appointed sheriff 4-If someone burns a huge cross on your front lawn, don't lock the doors and call the police. Instead pick up your little girl and go sprinting out the front door towards the cross 5-If you are looking to give yourself an alias to remain anonymous, you should use the name of the very cartoon character you have tattooed on your arm 6-A police force in the deep south has to have one closeted member of the kkk. 7-If a riot breaks out between blacks and whites in the front of a courthouse, as an attorney, it is imperative that you sprint from the courthouse and start throwing haymakers without sizing up the situation first 8-Don't wait to see if the men who did harm to your family goes to jail for it before you kill them. Further, only kill them with every law professional in town present and looking right at you and the men 9-Even though you are a professional of the law who must adhere to certain oaths, it's no big deal for you to represent a man with an insanity defense even though he told you he planned on killing the men who harmed his daughter. Nah, no conflict there at all. 10-It's not a conflict of interest for a lawyer and a judge presiding over that lawyers murder case to hang out, laugh and smoke stogies. 11-Even though you are a lawyer who is pretty much broke trying desperately to save a friend from the gas chamber, do not accept the free help of a young, intelligent, ambitious law student 12-The back windows are never locked in the office or building you're looking to sneak into 13-An entire store full of black people will be scared and intimidated by two really skinny white boys 14-The kkk has an application that prospective members must fill out. Just like a video store. 15-A jury foreman can use the n-word to describe the defendant and he gets to stay jury foreman [link] [3 comments]
