The website yvrshoots.com has some great shots of Elizabeth Olsen on the set of Godzilla, and an account what took place. "And since she's wearing hospital scrubs seems to be some kind of doctor or EMR. Crew filmed scenes of vehicles in gridlock near Oceanic Plaza dressed as a BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) station. Olsen got out of an ambulance in the rain and joined others looking up at something north of the street — probably the Japanese sea monster itself." Josh Wilding Reviews: WORLD WAR Z (2D)

Posted: 23 Jun 2013 10:44 AM PDT

A PG-13 zombie movie that actually works?! Surely not! Well, while anyone desperate for a gory two hours of blood splattering the walls and intestines being torn out by the handful may be disappointed, World War Z is actually a fast paced and smart thriller which somehow manages to offer up a fresh twist on the genre. That's not exactly an easy feat, especially as The Walking Dead does it so well on a weekly basis on the small screen. However, both the look of the zombies in this movie and the way they act (running may not be anything new thanks to 28 Days Later, but the way the undead swarm is most certainly unique) certainly helps to differentiate them from the norm. The scale at which they move is also impressive. We're used to seeing fairly isolated examples of zombie attacks, but in World War Z, we literally see

FEATURE: Five Actors Who Should Be Considered To Play Lex Luthor In MAN OF STEEL 2

Posted: 23 Jun 2013 09:54 AM PDT

Having appeared in the majority of Superman's big screen outings, Lex Luthor is undeniably one of the most well-known comic book villains of all time. His company, LexCorp, was referenced several times in Man Of Steel, leading to speculation that Luthor himself will be featured in the sequel (which is currently on the fast-track at Warner Bros.). Many fans have expressed interest in seeing another villain take on Superman in the next film, rather than see Luthor yet again. Personally, I really want to see somebody else as the primary adversary in Man Of Steel 2 (preferably Brainiac), with Lex in a supporting role. Love or hate him, it's debatable that we have yet to see the true Lex Luthor on the big screen, and we would finally have our chance to see that version in this new series. With that in mind, I compiled a list of five actors who

UPDATE: MAN OF STEEL Struggles During Second Weekend; Nears $400M Worldwide

Posted: 23 Jun 2013 09:30 AM PDT

It's been a busy weekend at the North American box office, with holdover Man of Steel forced to battle it out with two high profile releases in the form of Pixar's Monsters University and Brad Pitt starrer World War Z. The former already has a worldwide total of $136 million after only four days of release with an international cume of $54.5 million and a domestic total of $82 million. These numbers make it the second highest opening weekend of all-time for Pixar, beaten only by 2010's Toy Story 3. World War Z meanwhile has left many stunned by earning a whopping $112 million worldwide, $66 million of which came from North America. This actually means that it had the biggest opening for an original live action film since James Cameron's Avatar all the way back in 2009 (!). As for Man of Steel, it obviously slipped down to third place

How WORLD WAR Z Originally Ended

I wasn't a huge fan of World War Z (review HERE) but not because it seemed in any way patched together (which many feared it would after the re-shoots) in fact I thought the climactic scenes in the research center were probably the strongest in the movie. My biggest problem was just how by-the-numbers it all seemed. This movie contained not a single surprise for me, but reading through Movies.com's report on the original ending I can see not only why re-shoots were called for, but that there was a much ballsier, more compelling film in there somewhere. The theatrical ending of World War Z sees Gerry (Brad Pitt) and Segen (Daniella Kertesz) manage to find a cure (or sorts) to the Zombie outbreak, and travel meet Gerry's family, where everything ends with hugs and kisses while we await the inevitable sequel. Safe, but exactly very surprising right? But
