Conan O'Brien Joins Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 2

Conan O'Brien lends his voice to Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 2

Conan O'Brien has signed on to voice a role in the animated sequel Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 2 for Warner Home Video.

The Conan host is stepping into familiar territory, portraying Dave Endochrine, a late night talk show host who interviews The Joker, upon his release from Arkham Asylum. We reported last month that Michael Emerson (Lost, Person of Interest) is voicing The Joker. Here's what Conan O'Brien had to say about his love of animation.

"I've got a great affection for animation. I've always been interested in drawing, and I grew up on the Warner Bros. cartoons - which is where I think I learned a lot of my comedy. I think I got a lot of my comedic timing from the Road Runner and Bugs Bunny cartoons."

Peter Weller and Ariel Winter reprise their roles as Batman and Robin from Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 1. David Selby (Commissioner Gordon), Michael McKean (Dr. Bartholomew Wolper), and Mark Valley (Clark Kent/Superman) also star. Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 2 debuts on Blu-ray and DVD sometime next year.

Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 2 comes to theaters in 2013 and stars Peter Weller, Ariel Winter, Michael McKean, David Selby, Michael Emerson, Mark Valley, Conan O'Brien. The film is directed by Jay Oliva.

Are Americans bad guys in foreign films?

Posted: 14 Oct 2012 08:59 AM PDT

I've noticed that in a lot of American made action films, the bad guys are often foreign, usually russian or middle eastern or from another region we have had conflict with. Their motives are often political or ideological based upon their differences with the US. Do other countries do this with their action films with Americans as the bad guys?

What is the cheesiest/worst movie line ever?

Posted: 14 Oct 2012 08:59 AM PDT

Goddamit, has there been any good Horror movies in the last few years?. Recommendations (please)?.

Posted: 14 Oct 2012 09:39 AM PDT

I enjoyed The Others, The Eye (japanese), Shutter (The Korean), Grudge (original). Sinister seems promising, Deadgirl was oh right. It just seems that horror movies have been very cheap and cheesy lately (Hide and Seek, Devil Inside).

I just can't find any good one lately.

Cartoon Network Pulls DC NATION from October Schedule

Posted: 13 Oct 2012 02:12 PM PDT

With new episodes starting up a mere two weeks ago, the Cartoon Network has suddenly pulled DC Nation from its scheduling until January of next year. Giancarlo Volpe, a producer on GREEN LANTERN: THE ANIMATED SERIES, had this to say on the subject: "Apparently Cartoon Network preempted it in celebration of their 20th birthday. Their logic, not mine. I am very disappointed." Not surprisingly, the backlash has already begun, with criticism of the decision appearing on the DC Nation Facebook page (including one individual that responded to a poll asking fans to name their favorite supervillain with "Cartoon Network executives").
