Four Django Unchained Character Posters

You may not know this, but director Quentin Tarantino's Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction both kick started the art of the theatrical character poster. The tradition continues with Django Unchained. Today, we get four more of these one-sheets from the revenge Western featuring Samuel L. Jackson as Stephen, Leonardo DiCaprio as Calvin Candie, Kerry Washington as Broomhilda von Shaft, and Jamie Foxx as the title character.

Django Unchained comes to theaters December 25th, 2012 and stars Jamie Foxx, Leonardo DiCaprio, Christoph Waltz, Samuel L. Jackson, Gerald McRaney, Dennis Christopher, Kurt Russell, Laura Cayouette. The film is directed by Quentin Tarantino.

NBC to Replace Animal Practice with Whitney

"Motherfucking whoopsie!" Mac Demarco exclaimed as he flubbed a chord starting a song in the middle of his set. It's my first introduction to the 21-year-old's rambunctious live act and it only gets more hilarious from here. At Brooklyn's Public Assembly for the blog-trifecta CMJ showcase presented by We Listen For You, Beats Per Minutes and The Needle Drop, DeMarco and Dent May were the last two acts and the only ones I could catch due to scheduling conflicts (Read: my day job). But these two made up for the fact that I had to miss out on the exceedingly early set times for the Deloreans and Attic Abasement.

DeMarco continued his set with the enthusiasm of a circus performer, but don't let his devil-may-care attitude fool you. The kid is a seriously talented musician with a knack for songwriting that recalls Neil Young's weird late-'70s/early-'80s releases. Mac sipped a long neck while his band took turns soloing, and then bust into his own face-melting guitar solo complete with rocker-ecstasy face. Then Mac drank some more beer and laughed at the outrageous, albeit splendidly played solo his drummer busted into. All the solos seemed entirely spontaneous and DeMarco later confirms that's true.
