Christian Bale joins the Untitled David O. Russell Project

Bradley Cooper, Jeremy Renner, and Amy Adams will be joined by Christian Bale in David O. Russell's ensemble drama. Russell's penning the film's screenplay with Eric Singer, based on Singer's original script.

The upcoming film marks the director's first time working with Renner (two-time Academy Award nominee), and his second collaborations with Bale (Academy Award winner for Best Supporting Actor for The Fighter), Adams (three-time Academy Award nominee including The Fighter) and Cooper (The Silver Linings Playbook). David O. Russell's acclaimed The Silver Linings Playbook garnered the Audience Award at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Atlas Entertainment&#185s Charles Roven and Richard Suckle will produce alongside Annapurna Pictures' Megan Ellison and Ted Schipper. Jonathan Gordon, who most recently produced The Silver Linings Playbook, will also serve as an executive producer on the project alongside Bradley Cooper and Eric Singer. Annapurna Pictures is fully financing the film, tentatively set for release in late 2013. Columbia Pictures will handle US Distribution.

Here's what producer Charles Roven had to say about the project.

"David has put together an incredible ensemble of actors for what is going to be a powerful and emotional drama about one of the most memorable cast of characters in recent history."

The Untitled David O. Russell Project is based on the true story of a notorious financial con artist (Bale) and his mistress/partner in crime (Adams), who were forced to work with an out of control federal agent (Cooper) to turn the tables on other con artists, mobsters, and politicians. At the epicenter of the entire tale, is the passionate and volatile leader of the New Jersey state assembly (Renner) who is also the local hero and mayor of impoverished Camden.

Panorama Media has sold the film internationally, which includes a multi territorial deal with Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions. Production will begin mid-February on the East Coast.

Untitled David O. Russell Project comes to theaters in 2013 and stars Jeremy Renner, Bradley Cooper, Amy Adams, Christian Bale. The film is directed by David O. Russell.

Green Day, Passion Pit and recent Polaris Music Prize winner Feist will all be featured on the soundtrack to the highly anticipated film Twilight: Breaking Dawn - Part 2, the motion picture which hits screens on Nov. 16.

Contactmusic reports the 14-track album will come out Nov. 13 and includes Green Day performing "The Forgotten." Bassist Mike Dirnt told Yahoo the group "readily agreed" to contribute to the hit string of films because they're "an insane cultural phenomenon" as well as being impressed with previous Twilight soundtracks.

Meanwhile, Feist performs "Fire in the Water" and Passion Pit opens the album with "Where I Come From." St. Vincent and Ellie Goulding also appear with Goulding's "Bittersweet" produced by her current beau Skrillex. As well Christina Perri -- who appeared on the soundtrack to the first part of Breaking Dawn -- will return with "A Thousand Years (Part Two)."

Production of Kick-Ass 2 has now moved to the UK, and writer/director Jeff Wadlow is clearly busy with filming one of the most pivotal scenes in the big screen adaptation of the Mark Millar and John Romita Jr. comic book series. Without spoiling anything for those of you who haven't read Kick-Ass 2 (why not?!), a very big fight sequence takes place at the funeral of one of the characters and the set photo below (taken and released by Wadlow) gives us an idea of how it's going to play out. Singer Adele officially released her new James Bond theme song for "Skyfall" on Friday. The soundtrack is already a hit, jumping to number two on the iTunes singles chart.



The haunting lyrics bring some closure to what is likely Daniel Craig's last Bond movie. "This is the end," Adele sings. "Hold your breath and count to ten. Feel the earth move and then hear my heart burst again. For this is the end."
