Posted: 04 Oct 2012 11:02 AM PDT

Recently, Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures announced that their much anticipated Godzilla reboot will be hitting theaters May 16th, 2014 (expectedly in 3D). The film, which will be directed by Gareth Edwards (Monsters), debuted a test reel at San Diego Comic-Con this summer, which led to anticipation reaching a new high. Now, Variety reports that screenwriter Drew Pearce - who recently co-wrote Iron Man 3 for Marvel Studios - has been hired to pen a final rewrite of the script. The casting process is expected to begin in four weeks, and sources say that the last minute rewrite is to age the characters to match the actors that are being targeted (there are reportedly no problems with the script). Corb Lund: Authentic Country Singer Ponders a World Without Cows

On and off the stage, Corb Lund wears a beat-up black cowboy hat. He's a country singer and the cowboy hat is a part of every country-and-western singer's wardrobe.

For cowboys, the wide-brim of a ten-gallon Stetson provides shelter from the sun and rain, but for country singers, its more about fashion than function.

You see, most country singers aren't really cowboys. They come from suburbs and cities. They drive cars. For many, the closest they'll come to riding in a rodeo is getting drunk and trying not to fall off a mechanical bull in some seedy bar.

Corb Lund, on the other hand, is the real deal.

"My parent, my grandparents, and my great-grand parents were all ranchers. I grew up on horse back," he tells Spinner.

COMICS: Kieron Gillen And Jamie McKelvie's "Amateurs" Teased For Marvel NOW!

Posted: 04 Oct 2012 10:40 AM PDT

The cover of Marvel NOW! Point One features the team of Loki, Wiccan and Miss America Chavez (introduced in the pages of Vengeance last year). A teaser image for that book saw the latter delivering a fairly nasty punch to Loki, and we now have yet another teaser - "Amateurs". What do you get when you add all of these together? Well, while Young Avengers seems like the most obvious answer, don't be too surprised if this is an all-new team of some sort. After all, Kieron Gillen took Journey Into Mystery and turned it into a critically acclaimed solo title for Kid-Loki, so who knows what he has planned? Gillen and Jamie McKelvie previously worked together on creator owned Image series Phonogram. Many thanks to Comic Book Resources for the teaser.

Featuring a mixture of hand drawn art and computer generated animation, it seems to be a similar style to MTV's Spider-Man series from a while back. Although it's not being billed as a follow-up to the events of Marvel's The Avengers, Jeph Loeb tells the site that fans are "welcome people to interpret any way they like. In tone and character, we want to follow our best leader." Adrian Pasdar (Heroes) will voice Iron Man and Fred Tatasciore (Ultimate Spider-Man) voices Bruce Banner/Hulk. Zzzax will be voiced by Dee Bradley Baker, best known as Klaus
