Anticipation about Super Bowl XLVII is already building with the commercials between the action getting plenty of press. And information is starting to emerge about what music will be included in those advertisements.

Spin reports The Flaming Lips released a lyric video for the song "Sun Blows Up Today." The song will be used during the Super Bowl game in a Hyundai commercial. The song will be an "instant grat bonus track" on Jan. 29. On Thursday the Wayne Coyne-led psychedelic rock outfit announced they're releasing the new album The Terror on April 1. According to Adweek Hyundai will also use Quiet Riot's "Bang Your Head" in one commercial during the Feb. 3 game.

Meanwhile, reggae legend Jimmy Cliff will be heard covering The Partridge Family signature song "Get Happy" for Volkswagen. The ad -- posted on YouTube on Wednesday (Jan. 23) -- features a series of clips from YouTube viral videos, from a lady crying about cats to a baseball manager arguing with an umpire and mascots fighting. The ad then shifts to showing Cliff in a field before those people shown in the viral videos re-emerge as the singer ad-libs about the "crazy cat hugging lady," "the screaming politician" and "irritated llama."

After a little bit of a pump fake a few weeks ago, we finally have a new Strokes song: "One Way Trigger." It has plenty of Julian Casablancas singing falsetto and a synth line that sounds reminiscent of A-ha's "Take on Me." Check it out below and download it free at the Strokes' official site.

Elin Nordegren’s $12-Mil Divorce Mansion Near Completion

Posted: 25 Jan 2013 11:01 AM PST

Tiger Woods' ex-wife, Elin Nordegren, may soon be living in her luxurious new post-divorce pad in North Palm Beach, Fla.

Real estate agent Jeff Lichtenstein told Huffington Post that construction on the 21,000-square-foot beachfront home is nearing completion.

"I would estimate that she'll be in the house within six months. Nine months at the outside," said Lichtenstein, who markets real estate from Juno Beach to Palm Beach, Fla. "The roof is being put on right now, so it's not that far away."

Nordegren purchased the home in Feb. 2011 and decided last year to tear it down and rebuild, citing termite damage.

Ultravox's Midge Ure Hopes for Full-Band U.S. Tour After 25 Years Away

Posted: 25 Jan 2013 01:51 PM PST

Peter Wafzig, Redferns

Midge Ure, the singer and guitarist for the synthpop group Ultravox, had a very eventful 2012 -- a year marked by the British quartet's first new album in 25 years -- featuring Ure, Chris Cross, Billy Currie and Warren Cann -- and a European tour. Yet Ure isn't exactly taking a break after completing those Ultravox concerts. This month, he's in the midst of a solo tour of the States, where he hadn't performed for more than 10 years. But that's a relatively short hiatus given that Ultravox hadn't played together in America for over two decades.

"It was always a bit of a bone of contention with Ultravox," Ure tells Spinner, "that we used to tour quite regularly in America. And because of technical limitations, we used to have to do five-hour sound checks because the equipment at the time was incredibly basic -- basic synthesizers, basic electronics. So we could never open up for another band, we could never do a package tour with other artists, which would have been the natural next step for Ultravox. We got a bit frustrated that we never really kind of pursued the American market the way we would like to have."

Paul Verhoeven Wants to Direct Arnold Schwarzenegger in The Legend of Conan

Posted: 25 Jan 2013 09:41 AM PST

Arnold Schwarzenegger talks The Legend of Conan

At 65 years old, Arnold Schwarzenegger is showing no signs of slowing down. One of the several projects on his slate is The Legend of Conan, where the actor will reprise his title role from the 1982 classic Conan The Barbarian. The actor recently revealed that he still isn't afraid of the physical aspects of coming back as Conan, because he feels the same way he did nearly 30 years ago.

"Well, age doesn't mean anything to me, because I work out every day. I work out twice a day, as a matter of fact. At night I work out with weights, and in the morning I do cardiovascular training. So for me, to get on the set and to swing the sword around again and to ride the horses and all those things doesn't mean anything [does not scare me], because I feel like I did thirty years ago. So as long as I stay in shape, that's the key thing, and to keep your body young. Even though you do feel the pain when you wipe out and when you do your fight scenes and you get more sore and the body doesn't come back as quickly and all this . . . but just grind through it, you know? That's what it's all about!"

The Legend of Conan does not have a director in place yet. However, there is interest from a filmmaker who has worked with Arnold before. Total Recall director Paul Verhoeven revealed he would be interested in directing, if he was offered the job.

"If they asked me, I'd certainly love to - let's put it that way. But I don't know what the script is. I don't know what Arnold wants. I'm a big fan in fact of Conan. That's a great movie and I found that the composer, Basil Poledouris, basically inspired many of my movies [the soundtracks] like Arnold, Robocop, Starship Troopers and Total Recall. The score of Conan is great. The style of editing that (John) Milius used was very beautiful, and Arnold does a great job. He was really the perfect choice."

Producer Fredrik Malmberg revealed that, since the The Legend of Conan is set up at Universal, they can use the same swords from the original such as Father's sword and the Atlantean. He also teased that they want the folks at WETA to work on the visual effects.

"We can. As you know right now, we're concentrating on the story and the script, and then we'll go out and find the right director who has the same passion as the rest of us in the group. And you always have to let the creative side and let the director put his stamp and mark on it so you never know what's going to happen with the production design. I mean, we're trying to get the TOP production people involved. We're talking all the time about who we'd see doing the production, and our dream would be to have the WETA Workshop guys, the LOTR and Hobbit guys. They are huge Conan fans and they would be great to be involved on the creative side. But if they wanted to pay homage to the old swords, we could do it. But will the director and the whole team think that's a copout or is that an homage? So you never know."

The producer also teased that that he would love to see Arnold use a double-axe in this adventure.

"I would like to see that Conan has it still [the original sword], but it would be cool to pick up on some new fighting techniques. Wouldn't it be nice to have Arnold fight with a double-axe? In the comics, he always has that swinging double-axe. I'm all for double-axes. But the sword is so classic, and it has to be in there sometime."

The Legend of Conan comes to theaters in 2014 and stars Arnold Schwarzenegger.

EXCLUSIVE: Paul Giamatti and Don Coscarelli Talk John Dies at the End

Posted: 25 Jan 2013 09:21 AM PST

It has been nine, nearly 10 long years since director Don Coscarelli's last film, the beloved Bubba Ho-Tep. The filmmaker finally returns with yet another cult classic in the making, John Dies at the End. Chase Williamson and Rob Mayes star as Dave and John, two slackers who get pulled into a bizarre world centering on an unusual drug dubbed Soy Sauce, which allows users to drift through time and space. Paul Giamatti headlines a stellar supporting cast as Arnie, a writer who Dave tells his story to through flashbacks over coffee at a seedy diner. It's hard to put the rest of this movie into a few succinct words, but fret not, fans of Don Coscarelli's work will feel right at home.

I recently had the chance to speak with both Paul Giamatti and writer-director Don Coscarelli about this outlandish horror-comedy, currently available on VOD formats before its theatrical debut January 25. Click on the video player below to see what they had to say. Posted: 25 Jan 2013 10:00 AM PST

Maybe the lady wasn't a dude.

On Thursday, Manti Te'o's lawyer, Milton Grimes, told the NY Daily News that Manti's friend Ronaiah Tuiasosopo was the voice behind the fake "Lennay Kekua," but now the NY Post reports it was really Tuiasosopo's cousin, Tino Tuiasosopo, who called the Notre Dame linebacker and convinced him "Lennay" was real.

"Tino is the girl that Manti has been talking to all these months," said another Tuiasosopo cousin.

One of Ronaiah's relatives told the Post they believe Grimes said Ronaiah was the voice because his client "is determined to take the rap."

"The Death of "Superman Lives": What Happened?" Documentary Kickstarter

Posted: 25 Jan 2013 09:08 AM PST

Click here to help fund this project! The Death of "Superman Lives": What Happened? is a Feature Length Documentary about the unmade movie "Superman Lives". This film, out of all the various attempts to make a Superman movie between 1987 and 2006, would have stood the test of time and become a bonafide Cult Classic nowadays. I am not alone with my intense interest in knowing everything I can about this project, and so now I'm embarking on making a Documentary that will cover everything ever made for this film, from interviewing as many people as I can who were involved, to including actually recreating scenes from the script!!! I've been interested in this film since it was first announced back in the late 90's. Nicolas Cage was announced as Superman, Kevin Smith was announced as the Writer, Tim Burton was announced as the Director, and fans have had very heavy opinions,
