UPDATE: Warner Bros. Unveil A Full Look At Anne Hathaway In Costume As Catwoman!

Posted: 06 Aug 2011 06:48 AM PDT

Just Jared have revealed the following official image of Anne Hathaway in costume as Catwoman, and with no sign of a cowl, could this really be the suit Catwoman (only ever referred to as "Selina Kyle" by official sources) dons throughout The Dark Knight Rises? What prompted Warner Bros. to release this today is unknown, although it could be something to do with the mostly negative response to the first reveal yesterday! A big thank you to Twitter's @RIMBreaks for the heads up. UPDATE: As many of you have noted in the comments section, Just Jared were fooled (as we were) by an extremely clever FAKE! For now, it looks like what we saw of Catwoman yesterday will be it for the time being. Coldplay Light Up Lollapalooza With Fireworks, Brief Amy Winehouse Tribute

When Coldplay closed out their headlining 19-song Lollapalooza set with fireworks, things turned a little too real for those up front. As rapid-fire explosions went off above the stage to the beat of their new track 'Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall,' a waterfall of tiny black gunpowder granules showered the audience. But, if you are one of the world's biggest bands and it took you "20 years to get to Lollapalooza," as frontman Chris Martin told the audience mid-set, why not go out with a bang?

Apart from a quick-yet-poignant Amy Winehouse dedication that saw Martin croon the chorus of the late soul-singer's hit 'Rehab' from his piano, Coldplay's setlist didn't steer too far away from their performance this past June at Glastonbury. The band played three other new tracks -- 'MX/Hurts Like Heaven,' 'Major Minus' and 'Us Against the World,' which Martin joked was inspired by the idea of a "potential love affair between Bill O'Reilly and Sarah Palin" -- that are anticipated for their upcoming, as-yet-untitled fifth album.

Tinie Tempah Leads British Invasion at Lollapalooza

There was a British invasion on the opening day of Lollapalooza in Chicago on Friday, headlined by Muse and Coldplay and featuring a killer set from UK MC Tinie Tempah. As the sun went down over Millennium Park, young people not even yet born when the festival launched 20 years ago rushed the new Google+ stage to witness the 22-year-old rapper bring his Mercury Prize-nominated debut 'Disc-overy' to life.

It was clear Tempah was here for a takeover: T-shirts and other swag rained down constantly over the crowd as he launched into 'Love Suicide,' a track he reminded us was included exclusively on the US version of the record. He did the same with the hit 'Till I'm Gone,' apologizing that his tall friend Wiz Khalifa could not appear. None of his notable guests showed up, actually, but despite using pre-recorded tracks to incorporate their vocals, the set was very much alive, thanks to a crack five-piece band that included drums, bass and acoustic guitar.

Patti Smith Closes First Night of Inaugural Escape to New York Fest

There is only one stage at the Escape to New York festival, and therefore the gap between sets can stretch up to 30 minutes. By the time Patti Smith took the stage though, the crowd expanded somewhere into the high hundreds; still leaving the festival grounds about half empty, but (at the least) doubling the turnout for previous acts. Multicolored lights illuminated the surrounding forest lending it the air of some sort of magical séance.

The festival is surrounded by teepees for "Glamping" which stands (ridiculously) for glamorous camping; people can rent them out and spend time between and after sets in Native American splendor. Further out, the Shinnecock reservation has ample space where festivalgoers can set up tents and do some actual, real camping.

Backstory For Anne Hathaway's Catwoman in TDKR Revealed!

Posted: 06 Aug 2011 08:11 AM PDT

Batman-News just posted some details concerning Selina Kyles/Catwoman's character in Christopher Nolan's final Batman installment. Batman-News claims that this new information comes from a reliable source, but decide for yourselves. "Catwoman is apparently one of the most well written characters we've seen in these movies so far and she could potentially steal the show the way Heath Ledger did last time. She does some cool stuff in the movie like jumping out of windows and stealing the Batpod. Her back story is that she has a history of abuse and works as a stripper and is also a pickpocket." This is more or less in line with the SCOOP first reported on CBM back in July that Catwoman's back story would closely follow the interpretation illustrated in Frank Miller's Batman: Year One. [Catwoman's Backstory Scoop] Batman News.com is also reporting that Catwoman will indeed don a cowl at some point during the movie.

Grace Potter Reveals Underwear Secrets at Lollapalooza 2011

Grace Potter wears two pairs of underwear.

"You got to have your s--- straight underneath," the gorgeous singer, known just as much for her soulful, wall-of-sound vocals as she is for rocking out in her trademark gravity-defying, sparkly mini-dresses, tells Spinner before her Friday set at Lollapalooza 2011. "There are so many people now trying to get nasty panty shots, or like the one where I get down on my knees onstage and everyone is like, "Oh my god! I saw her p----. But of course," she assures, "you never see my p----."

In fact, Potter says she doesn't even worry about flashing her fans at this point. "There was a casualty -- at the Dave Matthews show we did in Atlantic City where you could see my underwear, but that's the worst, and it's just like a bathing suit."

Best Coast Perform for 'Attractive' Crowd at Escape to New York

The inaugural day of Escape to New York music festival culminated with a formidable one-two punch: Best Coast and Patti Smith. As the former took the stage, the fledgling festival began to fill up. Until then, the grounds at Shinnecock Reservation in South Hampton, N.Y., had been relatively quiet despite the pretty stacked lineup. The biggest attraction seemed to have been the automated Zen bells station, nestled in a shallow spot about 12 steps into the forest that surrounds the clearing where the main stage is situated.

As Best Coast began to play, a baby wearing headphones immediately earned the distinction of "most enthusiastic crowd member." Upon further questioning, we discovered that the mother of this fledgling rocker went into labor while listening to the Best Coast album. It was pretty apparent that this baby was born for this stuff. The rest of the crowd was similarly enthusiastic.

Alexisonfire Break Up After 10 Years in Less Than 'Amicable' Manner

Canadian rockers Alexisonfire have decided to call it quits. The band made the rather surprising break-up announcement on its official site Friday evening after stating earlier in the year that it was writing material for their next studio album.

"There is no good way to put it so I'm just going to say it," lead singer George Pettit wrote in a lengthy message which was first reported by Exclaim! "After 10 years, Alexisonfire has decided to part ways. I'm going to try to give you the facts about this as best as I can."

The message explains that singer/guitarist Dallas Green informed the group nearly a year ago that following the band touring behind their last studio album 'Old Crows/Young Cardinals' he would be leaving. Green apparently cited that trying to balance his life with touring with the group as well as City and Colour was "a task too difficult to continue managing."

BOX OFFICE UPDATE: $19M For Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes On Friday; On Its Way To $50M!

Posted: 06 Aug 2011 07:45 AM PDT

Rupert Wyatt's latest film Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes starring James Franco, Freida Pinto and Andy Serkis playing Caesar, opened stronger than expected on Friday with $19 million compared to yesterday's report of $14 million. Now, since the film is getting good buzz from most of the critics, word of mouth should help its weekend gross. From Deadline: "The far better reviewed Apes is faring stronger with a very healthy $19M Friday (including a low-key $1.254M midnights in only 1,124 locations) for a projected $50M weekend or even higher." Film had a reported budget of $93 million, which is not a lot when you look at Thor and Green Lantern's budget, and almost every big film this year was playing in 3D. Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes is a 2D film, and usually 3D adds $8-10M. As for Marvel's Captain America: The First Avenger...It's expected to collect another $13M
