VIDEO: Teaser For Our First Glimpse At The Hunger Games This Sunday

Posted: 25 Aug 2011 10:32 AM PDT

Yes, it's a teaser for the teaser. About a nanosecond of Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen in fight or flight mode.. Like voiceover man says in the vid, this glimpse is part of (we hope) a lot more footage with will air this Sunday at the MTV Video Music Awards. And the lovely Miss Lawrence (Mystique in X-Men: First Class) will be on hand to walk us through it. Every year in the ruins of what was once North America, the nation of Panem forces each of its twelve districts to send a teenage boy and girl to compete in the Hunger Games. Part twisted entertainment, part government intimidation tactic, the Hunger Games are a nationally televised event in which "Tributes" must fight with one another until one survivor remains. Pitted against highly-trained Tributes who have prepared for these Games their entire lives, Katniss is forced to rely upon her sharp instincts as

Ror Revisits: Ghost Rider

Posted: 25 Aug 2011 10:33 AM PDT

With the trailer for Ghost Rider: SOV getting a pretty positive response I thought I would go back and take a look at the first movie, which for the most part did not. I actually remember thinking the trailer for this looked pretty good too, I was looking forward to it. I'm not one of these people that thinks Nicholas Cage is the Devil incarnate as I am aware of some incredible performances of his over the years. That being said there is no doubt that he CAN be pretty terrible in both his acting and in his movie choices. Then we had the Director, Mark Steven Johnson who brought us the much maligned Daredevil. Thing is, I liked Daredevil! So that didn't put me off either. Then I saw it. In fairness, I didn't outright hate the movie the first time I watched it. It had it's moments. And looking back

Russell Armstrong's Funeral Attended by 'Real Housewives'

russell-armstrong-funeral.jpg
The funeral for "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Russell Armstrong was held Wednesday evening at the Church of the Hills at Forest Lawn in the Hollywood Hills. Armstrong's estranged wife, Taylor, and "Housewives" co-stars Lisa Vanderpump, Adrienne Maloof-Nassif and husband Dr. Paul Nassif and Kyle and Kim Richards were all in attendance. The service was not filmed by Bravo, and it was closed to the public. Witnesses told "Extra" that Taylor was so overcome with emotion she collapsed and had to be carried out by a bodyguard. Armstrong is to be cremated; his remains will be sent to his native Texas, where a second funeral will take place. Season 2 of the hit Bravo show is still set to premiere on September 5. Bravo head Frances Berwick maintains they are re-editing the show, but no decisions have been made on whether to delay the season premiere. Russell hanged himself at a friend's home in Los Angeles on August 15.

Charlie and Brooke: Making It Work?

Posted: 25 Aug 2011 10:22 AM PDT

"Extra" reported earlier this week that former husband and wife Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller were on a romantic getaway, sparking rumors of reconciliation.

Although Sheen denied they were getting back together, "Extra" sources say otherwise, claiming the actor and his ex are living together, trying to reconcile and be good parents to their 2-year-old twin sons.

Charlie, 45, previously stated they were working on the relationship for the sake of their boys, Bob and Max, declaring, "Harmony is our goal."

Are They Really Just Friends?

A smiling Charlie and Brooke stepped onto a private jet on Friday from LAX to Mexico and relaxed on the beach at the Four Seasons. They flew south of the border to celebrate Mueller's 34th birthday, and because she was doing well in rehab.

The two have experienced their share of drama; Sheen allegedly held a knife to Mueller's throat on Christmas Day of 2009, and they officially ended their marriage this past May. Charlie currently pays Brooke $55,000 a month in child support.

UPDATE: Victoria's Secret Model Marisa Miller Joins R.I.P.D

Posted: 25 Aug 2011 04:29 AM PDT

According to THR, Victoria's Secret and Sports Illustrated model Marisa Miller will join Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges in Universal's adaptation of the Dark Horse comic book R.I.P.D. No word on which role she will be playing but my money is on, ehh, someone hot anyway. TV fans will no doubt recognize Miller from the likes of Entourage, Gary Unmarried, and How I Met Your Mother. She makes her movie debut in Robert Schwentke's CBM, which follows a murdered cop (Reynolds) who is recruited to work in the Rest in Peace Department, a police force comprised of ghosts who battle spirits unready to depart this world. Update: via FSR Apparently Miller will play the "body that Bridges's character chooses to manifest his ghostly self as when walking amongst the living". R.I.P.D also stars Jeff Bridges, Kevin Bacon, Mary-Louise Parker, and Stephanie Szostak. By TwitterButtons.com
