Nigel Lythgoe Confirms Jennifer Lopez Will Return to Idol

Jennifer Lopez will return to American Idol next season, executive producer Nigel Lythgoe confirmed.

"I am delighted to say that all three judges, along with the brilliant host of American Idol [Ryan Seacrest], [are] back for the next season," Lythgoe said Wednesday on Seacrest's radio show.

Over the past four days, riots in London have rocked the British capitol with vandalism, fires and violence. Since the start of the troubles, artists have taken to Twitter and Facebook to express their dismay.

"Where the f--- are the Bullingdon boys? What's wrong you c---s? Would you only end your holidays if it were Fortnum & Mason being looted?" Franz Ferdinand frontman Alex Kapranos asked of his country's leaders, (via NME) while M.I.A. brewed contention with a riot-sympathizing tweet "I'm going down to the riots to hand out tea and mars bars."

John C. McGinley joins I, Alex Cross

Scrubs star John C. McGinley has officially signed onto play the Chief of Police in I, Alex Cross for Summit Entertainment and director Rob Cohen.

Tyler Perry takes the lead in this reboot of the classic James Patterson novel series. He replaces Morgan Freeman, who played the character in Along Came A Spider and Kiss the Girls.

Other members of the cast include Matthew Fox, Edward Burns, Jean Reno, and Giancarlo Esposito. I, Alex Cross shoots later this year.

I, Alex Cross comes to theaters in 2012 and stars Matthew Fox, Tyler Perry, Edward Burns, John C. McGinley, Jean Reno, Giancarlo Esposito. The film is directed by Rob Cohen.

Mortal Kombat: Legacy Coming To DVD And Blu-Ray

According to High-Def Digest the hit web series Mortal Kombat: Legacy will be released on DVD and Blu-Ray. Warner Brothers will release the nine episode mini series on November 8th later this year. It is not known what all will be included in the release as far as special features, but the Blu-Ray release will have some exclusives that the DVD will not. List price for the Blu-Ray is $19.99. From High-def Digest: In an early announcement to retailers, Warner Premiere has revealed 'Mortal Kombat: Legacy' for a Blu-ray release on November 8.
