Brooke Burke on Marriage, Fitness and 'Dancing'

Posted: 24 Aug 2011 11:20 AM PDT

Newlywed Brooke Burke talked marriage, working out and "Dancing with the Stars" with "Extra's" Adrianna Costa at the Las Vegas Magic Convention.

The blushing bride, who tied the knot with longtime boyfriend David Charvet in St. Bart's earlier this month, revealed the three reasons why she finally said "I do" after five years. "Right guy, right place, right time."

Brooke, who looks fabulous, admitted to "working out super hard" to keep slim and healthy. "I wish I could say I was eating burgers and being lazy, but that's not the case." The mother-of-three said she works out extra hard in order to "enjoy my wine."

The "Dancing with the Stars" host addressed rumors about who will join the upcoming season 13 in a brief, back-and-forth Q&A with Costa asking about names that have been in the news.

"Queen Latifah?" -- "Amazing."

"Robert Kardashian?" -- "I heard that."

"Tiffany Thiessen?" -- "Ah! That would be cool!"

"Chynna Phillips?" -- "Really?!"

All the rumors will be put to rest soon when the giant "Dancing" cast is announced live Monday, August 29 during an episode of "Bachelor Pad" airing at 8 PM on ABC.

"Dancing" will premiere Monday, September 19th.

Breaking In Gets Surprise Season Two Renewal!

Posted: 24 Aug 2011 11:22 AM PDT

Fox brings back Breaking In with a new 13-episode order

Back in May, Fox cancelled the new comedy series Breaking In, along with The Chicago Code, Traffic Light, and Human Target. Today, in a very rare move, the network has resurrected Breaking In with a new 13-episode order.

This actually marks the second time the show has survived cancellation, after Fox initially passed on the pilot, despite receiving one of the network's highest testing ratings. Sony Television kept pushing for the show, and Fox eventually relented, giving Breaking In a seven-episode order which started in April. When the network cancelled Breaking In in May, Sony Television kept fighting for the show, which lead the network to consider putting the show in its midseason comedy block. Fox also agreed to share some of the production costs with Sony, while extending the options on the Breaking In cast. Breaking In is said to be only the second show to survive cancellation twice, next to Family Guy.

It isn't known when exactly Breaking In would debut this new season, or when production will start. The entire cast, which includes Christian Slater, Bret Harrison, Alphonso McAuley, and Odette Annable, is expected to return. Odette Annable just joined House M.D. as a new series regular, although it is said there is a deal in place which allows her to work on both shows.

The deal with series creator Adam F. Goldberg also includes a commitment to another project, an untitled family comedy set in the 1980s. It is said to be a semi-autobiographical tale, based on Adam F. Goldberg's experiences growing up with his bizarre family.

As its title suggests, Lenny Kravitz's 'Black and White America' deals with some serious subject matter. As a genre-blending musician and the child of a mixed-race couple, he's experienced his fair share of prejudice throughout his life, but he was he inspired to tackle the topic head-on after watching a documentary about racist Obama opponents. Spinner recently caught up with Kravitz to discuss the album (due out Aug. 29), his thoughts on the racial tensions in the U.S. and his relationship with his daughter, Zoe.

How are you feeling about 'Black and White America'?

I'm really satisfied with this album. It was really fun making it. It's been an amazing couple of years. I worked on it for two years, off and on. I would go on tour, come back, do other things, come back. I had other projects, but it was the better part of two years that I was in the Bahamas recording it.

Al Pacino: Say Hello to My Little Blu-ray of 'Scarface'

Posted: 24 Aug 2011 11:01 AM PDT

"Extra" correspondent Jerry Penacoli caught up with Al Pacino at the "Scarface" special edition Blu-ray release party, where they talked about the signature film and why it has endured as a fan favorite over the years.

Pacino pondered, "I don't know. I wish I knew because I would try to make another one." When it was released in 1983, there was a lot of controversy over the film's ultra-violence. The actor says that "if it opened next week, it would be the same controversy." Pacino added, "I think that's the nature of this beast." Now, after 28 years, Pacino, 71, reunited with some of his "Scarface" co-stars at the party, including F. Murray Abraham, who told Penacoli to ask Pacino to do his one-legged golfer. The "Scent of a Woman" Oscar winner laughed, "You do it all on one leg like this, and in those days I could do that. I don't know if I can hold that now, but anyways [the joke goes], he winds up after five minutes of preparing to swing and goes backwards and falls." The "Scarface" Blu-ray Limited "Steelbook" Edition hits shelves September 6.

Gotti: In the Shadow of My Father Adds Chazz Palminteri

Posted: 24 Aug 2011 10:00 AM PDT

Chazz Palminteri joins the cast of Gotti: In the Shadow of My father

Fiore Films, an independent production company, today announced that it has signed Chazz Palminteri to play the role of Mafia boss Paul Castellano in its feature film Gotti: In the Shadow of My Father which will begin pre-production in September and start principal photography on-location in New York on January 3.

"I have seen this film come together from the very start, and am pleased to be able to work alongside such great talent to bring this story to the big screen," said Palminteri. "I have been a longtime admirer of Barry Levinson and am looking forward to working with him."

Academy Award-winning director Barry Levinson and Academy Award-nominated writer James Toback, the same team that made Bugsy which earned ten Academy Award nominations, are completing a revised version of the original screenplay. Levinson is set to direct the all-star cast that also includes John Travolta, Al Pacino and Kelly Preston.

Palminteri is best known for writing and starring in A Bronx Tale, which was a semi-autobiographical account of his childhood in New York. The film version was directed by Robert De Niro, and Palminteri went on to create a one-man show based on the film that he still performs live at theatres across the country. Palminteri also co-starred in films such as Analyze This, The Usual Suspects and Bullets Over Broadway, for which he was nominated for an Academy Award.

"Chazz's abilities as an actor, director, writer and producer make him one of the great talents of our time," said Marc Fiore, president and CEO of Fiore Films and producer of the film. "He is a natural to play the role of Paul Castellano and is a solid addition to our all-star cast."

Paul Castellano succeeded Carlo Gambino as head of the Gambino crime family. After his much-publicized murder in 1985, John Gotti became head of the notorious crime family. Casting for the film is being handled by Amanda Mackey Johnson and Cathy Sandrich.

Fiore Films acquired life rights from John Gotti, Jr., the son of the late mob boss John Gotti, to the story of his life with his father. The deal marks the first time a member of the Gotti family has entered into an agreement to tell their story for a major motion picture.

Gotti: In the Shadow of My Father reveals the relationship of a father who lived and died by the mob code and a son who chose to leave that world behind and redeem himself. Never before has there been such an inside look at the life of the Gotti family and their world of danger, betrayal and redemption.

Fiore Films, LLC is a film production company with offices in Los Angeles and New Jersey. Films currently in production or development include, Gotti: In the Shadow of My Father and Mob Street. More information is available at FioreFilmsLLC.com. Updates about the Gotti movie can be found on Twitter @gottimovie.

Gotti: In the Shadow of My Father comes to theaters in 2013 and stars John Travolta, Ben Foster, Joe Pesci, Lindsay Lohan, Kelly Preston, Ella Bleu Travolta, Al Pacino, Chazz Palminteri. The film is directed by Barry Levinson.

Will and Jada: Love on the Rocks?

Posted: 24 Aug 2011 10:39 AM PDT

Rumors of a troubled marriage continue to swirl around high-profile couple Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith -- who reportedly threatened In Touch with a legal war after the pair released a statement denying the tabloid's claim that they're separating. In Touch first reported the story Tuesday morning, saying the two were parting after 14 years together.

jada-will-smith.jpg

In Touch also claimed Jada had a fling with newly separated "HawthoRNe" co-star Marc Anthony, who broke up with J.Lo this summer. The Smiths also addressed the affair in a statement released late Tuesday by Jada's rep: "All the rumors regarding Marc Anthony and Jada are false. Completely untrue."

Despite the threat of a lawsuit, In Touch stands by their story, insisting it's true. Their newest report says Will and Jada are secretly living apart.

Are They on the Verge of Splitting Up?

According to TMZ, a source close to the pair believes a separation as "definitely a possibility," but it hasn't happened yet. The Smith family is planning a getaway soon, but it's unclear whether they are avoiding the media frenzy, or if the trip is a last-ditch effort to save their marriage.

The Smiths Through the Years

Will, who previously opened up to "Extra" about his first marriage that ended in 1995, explained, "When you've been divorced, it's like you failed." Will has an 18-year-old son, Trey, from that marriage. The "I Am Legend" star added, "If you've been married and divorced and have a child, that's the rest of your life that you have to deal with that."

More Game Of Thrones Season 2 Casting News

Posted: 24 Aug 2011 10:00 AM PDT

The cast just keeps on growing. Now anyone who has read the books will have known that most of the characters were going to pop up but many felt that some would be left until later seasons. Not so. It seems season 2 of Game Of Thrones is to be as faithful to the second novel, "A Clash Of Kings", as the first one was. The first new addition is Balon Greyjoy. From EW.. Another actor has joined The Biggest TV Show Cast in the Universe. British actor (you probably guessed that part) Patrick Malahide had joined Game of Thrones season two as Balon Greyjoy. Malahide has appeared in movies like The World is Not Enough and Billy Elliot. Balon, father of Theon and Yara (formerly Asha), is a right miserable old git. He rules the Iron Islands and regularly sends sacrifices to the Ironborn's Drowned God. Expect his role to be little more
