EXCLUSIVE: Maggie Grace Talks Taken 2 Posted: 14 Apr 2012 11:18 AM PDT I recently had the chance to speak with actress Maggie Grace, who was promoting the sci-fi action thriller Lockout, arriving in theaters April 13. She reprises her role as Kim in Taken 2, the follow-up to 2009's surprise action hit Taken. This time around, instead of Kim being kidnapped, her father Bryan Mills (Liam Neeson) is taken hostage with his wife, while on vacation in Istanbul. I asked the actress if this role reversal meant she would have to take action to save her father. Take a look at what she had to say. Taken 2 - Exclusive: Maggie Grace Taken 2 comes to theaters October 5th, 2012 and stars Liam Neeson, Maggie Grace. The film is directed by Olivier Megaton.

Courtney Love, Hole Reunion: Singer Joins Mid-'90s Lineup in New York City Posted: 14 Apr 2012 01:30 PM PDT Filed under: News Getty Images Courtney Love started this week on a negative note, ranting against Dave Grohl on Twitter and in the comments section of a Gothamist post, but last night, she kicked off the weekend with some positivity. At the after-party for Hit So Hard, a new documentary about former Hole drummer Patty Schemel, Love joined three of her ex-bandmates onstage at Public Assembly in Brooklyn, reuniting the group's mid-'90s lineup for the first time in 15 years. Josh Wilding Reviews: BATTLESHIP Posted: 14 Apr 2012 09:52 AM PDT Very much like Michael Bay's Transformers trilogy, you will either love or hate Battleship. However, an appalling script makes it far more likely that you'll end up falling into the second category as not even the special effects are enough to save this disaster. The story is your standard alien invasion fare and it's not spoiling much to say that it ends exactly like every other mediocre film of this type inevitably does. From a logical point of view, neither the actions of the characters or several other aspects of the film make a lick of sense (regardless of how hard you try to switch off your brain). The "Hoo-rah" patriotic message also becomes old fast and several scenes leave you feeling as if you're watching an enrolment video from the US Navy. The dialogue is clunky and downright dreadful for the most part. You certainly won't be able to take

So I watched 'Santa Sangre' (completely f**ked up thriller) last night, and texted my girlfriend a quick plot synopsis Posted: 14 Apr 2012 08:53 AM PDT Okay, I'm essentially giving away the entire movie, so if you wanted to see a really fucked up thriller, go watch it and don't read this. If you aren't interested, continue. "Okay, starts with showing some Jesus looking guy perched in a tree in an insane asylum, he has a phoenix tattooed on his chest and his name is Fenix. It flashes back to his childhood in some Mexican town where he works as a child magician in his father's circus, his father is a fat-drunken knife thrower and his mother is a trapeze artist or something. He also has a little Indian midget friend named Aladdin. Anyway, his mom is also the leader of some cult that worships a young girl whos arms were cut off and she was raped by her brothers, their church is torn down by the city and they go back to the circus where the mother finds her husband flirting with the "tattooed woman" who he throws knives at. She gets pissed at him and almost kills him with a knife but he's also a hypnotist and puts her under a trance and fucks her in front of their son. The son has a crush on the tattooed woman's adopted daughter who is a deaf-mute mime girl. They also have an elephant and a group of clowns. The elephant is dying for some reason and is just pouring blood out of it's snout. It eventually dies and is placed in a giant dumpster made to look like a coffin and is paraded in town, funeral style, where they end at the dump, tossing the giant dumpster in where it is immediately torn open by the local homeless and the elephant is ripped apart for food in front of the boy. Fenix is sad, so the father says he will make him a man; he ties Fenix to a chair and puts a wooden stick in his mouth and tattoos the phoenix on him with one of his knives dipped in ink. Later on the circus is putting on another act, the boy's mother is doing some aerial act while suspended by her hair and sees her husband kissing the tattooed woman. She rages, gets down, locks Fenix in a trailer and finds her husband almost mid-coitus with the tattooed woman and pours acid on his junk. He cuts off her arms, killing her, walks outside and slits his throat. Fenix is essentially forced to watch this from inside the locked trailer from the window. The tattooed woman runs off with the mime girl. It flashes back into present day and Fenix is in a mental institution mostly with kids with Downs syndrome and other fucked up shit and they dance around and feast on fruit. They go out for the day to see a movie but are intercepted by a pimp who gives them all coke and takes them to an obese prostitute. Fenix spots the tattooed woman who is now a prostitute and becomes enraged. It flashes to the tattooed woman who whores herself and the young girl, telling clients "she's deaf and mute, you can do whatever you want to her and she won't scream out or anything" and they essentially pay to rape the girl. Fenix, back at the mental institution hears someone calling out to him, he escapes and finds it's his armless mother who leads him around. I was in and out at this point but essentially he stands behind her and acts as her arms where she uses him to murder people and play piano and other shit. I was also kind of fucked up at this point and the ending is basically that his mother is a hallucination that makes him kill people and by the end he reunites with the deaf-mute girl and "kills" his mother by stabbing her in the stomach, thus regaining control of her arms" I probably missed out on a lot of details but that's the nitty-gritty fucked up parts of the movie. EDIT: It's on Netflix right now if you want to watch it... In all seriousness it's a good film, and I'd reccommend watching it sober because it's just all very confusing, graphic, and all sorts of fucked up. submitted by DeathCampForCuties [link] [3 comments]
