Richard Jenkins and Cameron Bright Join One Square Mile Posted: 23 Apr 2012 10:35 AM PDT Academy Award-nominated actor Richard Jenkins (The Visitor) and Cameron Bright (The Twilight Saga: Eclipse) have joined the cast of Charles-Olivier Michaud's latest drama One Square Mile. Written by scribes Josh Campbell and Jeff Van Wie, the film will be produced by Howard Burd and Micah Sparks of Phoenix Rising Motion Pictures, and Deborah Moore of Inner Primary Entertainment. Martin Harmon is executive producing for Phoenix Rising Motion Pictures. International sales are being handled by Lawrence Meyers, Bobby Meyers and Peter Rowley of Meyers Media Group. Principal photography is scheduled to begin in August with Seattle, Washington as a possible location. One Square Mile is a highly charged, emotional story of a disenfranchised teen (Bright) living on the wrong side of the tracks. Desperate for a way out, his life collides with an old reclusive track coach (Jenkins), angry at the world with no purpose in life. The two form a reluctant bond that forces them to face their circumstances as they race to save each other and ultimately - themselves. "We felt the writers always had Richard in mind when we were developing the script, and we couldn't be happier now that he is on board," said Burd. "Having Cameron Bright play opposite Richard is a strong acting combination that will produce a compelling and inspirational film that people will want to watch over and over again." This will be director Charles-Olivier Michaud's first English-language film since his Snow & Ashes won the Grand Jury Sparky Award for Best Narrative Film at Slamdance in 2010. Michaud, who is from Quebec, has recently helmed the French-language romance Sur Le Rythme. One Square Mile is one of the titles Meyers Media Group will be representing at the upcoming Cannes Film Market, with additional titles for their slate still to be announced. One Square Mile comes to theaters in 2013 and stars Richard Jenkins, Cameron Bright. The film is directed by Charles-Olivier Michaud.

This, despite the fact that concert promoter Live Nation announced an additional O'Connor tour date in Toronto just this morning (Monday, April 23). "Ok," the Irish singer tweeted, according to the Sun. "Am going home and cancelling touring for the year. Doc had asked me not to tour but I thought was stronger than am." O'Connor said she wants a "normal job" while labeling show business as "too much falseness and s****" while also characterizing them as "bad triggers for a woman with mental illness."

Set to retire his Iron Man persona, and about to mass-produce a line of Iron Man armor known as "Iron Man Dio", Stark's plans are derailed by a series of high tech Mech monsters. Zodiac, a top secret organization funded by the terrorist group A.I.M. is out to disrupt the Arc Station, steal the Dio armor and put an end to Iron Man. Does THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Toy Reveal The Bat Is A Copter? Posted: 23 Apr 2012 10:29 AM PDT Looks like Christopher Nolan has one more surprise up his sleeve. Back when we got our first look at the flying vehicle, known as "The Bat" there was rumblings that it was actually a helicopter of sorts. But, with each new set image there were no signs that a propeller would be attached to the vehicle, unless it was added later with CGI. And then we saw actual footage of "The Bat" during the prologue's sizzle reel, and still no propeller. Ah, but what we didn't expect was that Nolan would place the propeller underneath the vehicle, and not have one, but actually two propellers. Yes, this is just a toy, but I would not be shocked if this is actually how the "The Bat" will be capable of flight in the film. Area 407 Trailer Posted: 23 Apr 2012 09:50 AM PDT IFC Films has debuted the first trailer and poster for Area 407, which debuts on VOD formats and in select theaters April 27. Dale Fabrigar and Everette Wallin direct this found footage horror tale about a plane that crash lands at a secret testing facility. Check it out. Area 407 Trailer After taking off on a flight from New York to Los Angeles on New Years Eve, the passengers of Flight 37A are soon sent into shock and alarm as the plane experiences severe turbulence. The relentless weather attack causes panic and terror amongst the passengers until the plane ultimately crashes in a remote government-testing reserve, Area 407. Through footage captured by two teenage sisters, the accident and crash lead to further events that should not be viewed by the faint of heart. As they continue to film, it becomes apparent that the remaining survivors of Flight 37A may not survive the night. Area 407 comes to theaters April 27th, 2012.
