In an unfortunate and sad twist of fate, almost exactly two years after Michael Jackson's shocking and untimely death, his iconic leather jacket worn by him in the 'Thriller' video has sold for an eye opening $1.8 million dollars.

The red and black leather jacket was purchased on June 26, 2011 by Milton Verret, a commodities trader from Austin, Texas, at Julien's Auctions in Beverly Hills. Verret purchased the jacket for several times more than it's anticipated price tag which was between $200,000 - $400,000. The iconic garb will be used as a fundraising tool, heading out on tour with the proceeds going to various children's charities.

With revellers still making their way off the site after at least three days of unrestrained partying, Glastonbury festival organiser Michael Eavis claims that the headliners for the 2013 festival are already "lined up."

Speaking to NME.com, the 75-year-old founder of the Glastonbury festival also revealed that the 2008 festival may have been cancelled had it not been for rapper Jay-Z headlining the prestigious Saturday night Pyramid Stage slot.

"We can't wait for 2013," he said. "We love it. I've never seen so many people enjoying themselves, it was fantastic, even with the [rainy] conditions. We can't wait to do it again."

Walking solo on the red carpet at the premiere of "Don't Be Afraid of the Dark," a stunning Katie Holmes told "Extra" she thinks Tom Cruise's "Rock of Ages" buffed-out body "looks great and I'm so excited for him playing this character [Stacee Jaxx]."

Unable to make his wife's premiere due to his filming schedule in Miami, the six-pack-touting Cruise has already seen the scary film. The actress revealed that he "loved it."

Tom's Rocker Transformation: He's Ripped!

Katie, sporting a healthy post-Miami glow in a backless Contrarian LBD, posed for photos with her talented pint-sized co-star, Bailee Madison, who looked like she could pass for Suri's sister. Katie said her young daughter could one day watch this film "when it's appropriate. When it's not too scary for her."

Holmes admitted she herself was afraid when she first watched the thriller, written by Guillermo del Toro, saying, "Yes! Yes, I was!"

Intervention | Photo Credits: A&E

In its weekly intro, A&E's Intervention explains that the show ropes in its subjects by presenting itself as a "documentary about addiction." You understand how this could work for a while, but for a show that's been around for as long as it has (its 10th season!), you'd expect someone to catch on. That's exactly what happens on Monday's episode...

Men Without Hats Still Making the World Go Pop -- Exclusive Video

Men Without HatsMatthew C.X. Langford

Even if you were a mere babe toddling around with a soother during Men Without Hats 1980s heyday, you're certainly familiar with 'Safety Dance.' Led by Montreal merrymaker Ivan Doroschuk, Men Without Hats brought us one of the most iconic New Wave tracks of that era and it continues to percolate in pop culture, turning on new fans as 'The Simpsons' or 'Hot Tub Time Machine' enlists the synth-laden tune for their time warp scenes.

Spinner caught up with Doroschuk earlier this month during the AOL-sponsored NXNE showcase at Yonge-Dundas Square in Toronto to talk to the rocker about his biggest hits, what brought him back onto the tour circuit (with the B-52s and Human League, no less) and why 'Pop Goes the World' isn't dated in the least.

Toy Story 4 in Development Says Tom Hanks

Posted: 27 Jun 2011 10:11 AM PDT

Toy Story 4 is in development according to Tom Hanks

Actor Tom Hanks is currently making the press rounds to promote his new movie Larry Crowne, which hits theaters on July 1. Earlier this morning, he made a surprising revelation that Pixar is currently working on Toy Story 4. Here's what he had to say below.

"I think there will be yeah. Yeah, yeah. They're working on it now. There you go."

Back in November, Toy Story 3 producer Darla K. Anderson said there were no plans to make Toy Story 4. The franchise will continue on through a new series of shorts. The first short, Toy Story: Hawaiian Vacation, was attached to prints of Cars 2.

Pixar has not confirmed Tom Hanks' statement about Toy Story 4 at this time. You can clickHere to watch the video interview with Tom Hanks.
