"We're not a punk band anymore," Stephen O'Shea, bass player in Vancouver party-rockers You Say Party tells Spinner. "It used to be, 'You Say Party are a dance-punk band with 4/4 beats and really loud drums.' Now it's four friends who are all songwriters who really care about each other."

The band's new MO is certainly warranted. After a trying year that saw the group's drummer Devon Clifford collapse on stage from what would prove to be a fatal brain hemorrhage, lose keyboardist Krista Loewen, drop the "You Say Die" half of their original You Say Party! We Say Die! name, and soldier on with friends Al Boyle and Rob Andow augmenting the remaining trio, You Say Party went on "indefinite hiatus" last April.

However, they were coaxed out of retirement when Paper Bag Records co-founder Trevor Larocque asked them to take part in the Toronto-based label's tenth anniversary celebrations this Saturday at the Great Hall in Toronto.

The Weinstein Company has released the second trailer for The Silver Linings Playbook, director David O. Russell's adaptation of the Matthew Quick novel. Bradley Cooper stars as Pat Solitano, a former teacher who was just released from a mental hospital and moves back in with his parents (Robert De Niro and Jacki Weaver). He becomes determined to make a fresh start, with the help of a young woman (Jennifer Lawrence), to find the silver linings in life. Take a look at the latest footage from this upcoming drama.

Partial Filming In Washington, D.C. Set for CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER

Trailing Marvel Studios' announcement earlier today that Captain America: The Winter Soldier's principal photography will take place in Cleveland, Ohio, we've stumbled across another shooting location prearranged for the forthcoming sequel. During an interview with Reel Talk with Film DC Podcast, conducted a little over a month ago, the senior communications manager with the DC Film Office, Leslie Green, revealed that Washington, District of Columbia is on Marvel's radar for the Chris Evans-starrer. "We have the Captain America sequel that should be shooting here in the Spring of 2013," Green asserted, after being asked to name upcoming projects set to film in D.C.. Earlier this week, we brought you some images for the UK release of The Dark Knight Rises on Blu-ray and DVD, but now, official word from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment confirms a December 4th US release. IGN have a list of special features, box art and more from the yet to be seen press release, including the announcement of The Dark Knight Trilogy Limited Edition Giftset (out Dec. 4th) and an Ultimate Collectors Edition of the trilogy, which is set to hit next year. Looper: Why this movie deserves a few awards

Today I saw looper (I am in SAR Hong Kong and we get it a few hours early because of time change) and I got blown away. The whole concept was quite gripping and I haven't seen such a smart movie in a very long time.

They managed the question of time continuance very well with high accuracy, and all of the things presented as future ideas seemed very realistic. I definitely recommend seeing this movie as it is very entertaining whilst still presenting a very good movie that is sure to go down as one that should have been recognised for a nomination.

Actor notes:

Bruce Willis was surprisingly compelling in his way of telling his character's story. His undying will to save his wife was just really lovely.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt has always been a favorite of mine, and this movie only helped affirm my love of his talent.

"Vampire Diaries" star Nina Dobrev stopped by The Grove to chat with "Extra's" Maria Menounos about the coming-of-age drama, "Perks of Being a Wallflower."

Dobrev plays the older sister to a high school freshman (played by Logan Lerman) who is trying to find his way.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier will shoot in Cleveland next year

The Greater Cleveland Film Commission today announced that Marvel Studios will film portions of Marvel's Captain America: The Winter Soldier in Cleveland, Ohio. Set for release by The Walt Disney Studios in 2014, the movie is a sequel to the 2011 hit Captain America: The First Avenger starring Chris Evans. Marvel Studios will film stage work for the production in the studio's home state of California.

Filming for Captain America: The Winter Soldier is scheduled to begin next year. This film project follows on the heels of Marvel Studio's 2012 blockbuster Marvel's The Avengers, which filmed in several locations throughout Ohio in 2011, broke a number of box office records, and was the fastest film ever to gross $1 billion in sales worldwide.

"Marvel is pleased to return to Ohio, this time with our Captain America: The Winter Soldier production. The location, talent and people of Ohio are sure to benefit our film, and we look forward to beginning production," said Louis D'Esposito, Co-President, Marvel Studios.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier will pick up where Marvel's The Avengers leaves off, as Steve Rogers struggles to embrace his role in the modern world. The film will be directed by brothers Anthony Russo and Joe Russo, Cleveland natives whose credits include the movie Welcome To Collinwood, the Fox TV series Arrested Development, and the NBC TV series Community.

The Greater Cleveland Film Commission was in talks with Marvel Studios for weeks, sharing information about Ohio's physical assets and helping them learn about the benefits of filming in Ohio -- including the recently expanded Ohio Motion Picture Tax Incentive.

In June, the State of Ohio expanded the Ohio Motion Picture Tax Incentive, a critical tool for strengthening Ohio's growing film industry and creating jobs for Ohioans. The tax incentive provides for a refundable credit against the corporation franchise or income tax for motion pictures produced in Ohio.

"We're thrilled that Marvel Studios is bringing another major motion picture project to Cleveland, and we're committed to showing them the very best our region has to offer," said Ivan Schwarz, executive director of the Greater Cleveland Film Commission. "We proved with the filming of Marvel's The Avengers that Cleveland has the talent, architecture and amazing locations that will provide filmmakers everything they need to ensure a successful filming experience, and the economic impact of this new project can't be denied. Filming will create a number of jobs for Ohioans and will give our region another chance to demonstrate how skilled, professional and dedicated our workforce truly is. We especially appreciate Governor Kasich and the Ohio Film Office for their support and timely approval of these exciting opportunities."

The Greater Cleveland Film Commission is committed to building a year-round, sustainable statewide film industry through job creation, workforce development, and attracting media production.

We have worked diligently with the Greater Cleveland Film Commission to make our city an attractive location for films of all sizes. About 1,143 full-time equivalent Ohio jobs and $35.5 million in household income are estimated to have been credited to the 27 projects that took advantage of the Ohio Motion Picture Tax Credit since its 2009 inception, and the tax incentive returns $1.20 into the Ohio economy for every $1 invested by the incentive, according to a Cleveland State University study released earlier this year.

"We are thrilled that Cuyahoga County is being seen as a destination for filmmakers," said Cuyahoga County Executive Ed FitzGerald. "The resources that we have to offer, including our skilled workforce, makes our region a natural fit for the film industry. Projects like this means jobs and economic development for Cuyahoga County."
