FYI, the sidebar doesn't accurately describe how to do spoiler tags in other forums. Posted: 08 Sep 2012 10:39 AM PDT The method explained in /r/movies doesn't seem to work in other subreddits.
to get a similar effect elsewhere, you have to put square brackets around the spoiler content and round brackets around /spoiler afterwards. gives you: Darth Vader is Yoda's Father I just found this out when trying to non-spoil something in another subreddit and having the tag not work properly. Star Trek Into Darkness Is Rumored to Be the Title of J.J. Abrams' Sequel Posted: 08 Sep 2012 10:07 AM PDT Domain name registration by a major motion picture company is always a cause for concern in terms of big franchises, and it looks like Star Trek 2 has moved forward with securing its place on the Internet, here on the 46th Anniversary of Gene Roddenberry's celebrated sci-fi universe. MarkMonitor, a popular domain registry, the same registry in fact that secured the title for Paramount Pictures' G.I. Joe Retaliation, has confirmed that both www.startrekintodarkness.com and www.startrekintodarknessmovie have been registered as Internet website domains. This, of course, has led to the speculation that the new title of Star Trek 2 is now Star Trek Into Darkness. The concern here is that there is no colon. Director J.J. Abrams means the title in a literal sense, in that our beloved group of characters will take a trek through the stars into darkness. At this time, the title has been neither confirmed nor denied by the studio. Fans across the galaxy have called the title absolutely horrible. But is it any worse than the recent Paramount sequel titles Transformers: Dark of the Moon or Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol? What do you guys think? Should this be the title? Should they ditch it before its too late? Or, it's Star Trek 2...Who cares? Star Trek 2 comes to theaters May 17th, 2013 and stars Zoe Saldana, Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Benedict Cumberbatch, Anton Yelchin, Simon Pegg, Karl Urban, John Cho. The film is directed by J.J. Abrams. |

EDITORIAL: Six Directors Who Should Be Considered For DOCTOR STRANGE Posted: 08 Sep 2012 09:15 AM PDT One of the projects that Marvel Studios have been developing for some time is Doctor Strange, which would explore the magical side of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Last year, we heard that screenwriters Thomas Donnelly and Joshua Oppenheimer (who previously scripted the horrid 2011 remake of Conan The Barbarian) turned in a draft for the film adaptation, and Marvel were putting together a directors short list. However, we haven't heard any potential candidates beyond Hellboy's Guillermo del Toro (it's unlikely that he'll direct the project, at least any time soon). It's assumed that the Sorcerer Supreme will be getting his own film in Marvel's Phase Three, which will follow 2015's The Avengers 2. And just yesterday, we heard a rumor suggesting that Stephen Strange will make an appearance in next year's Thor: The Dark World. To bring Dr. Strange to the big screen in style, Marvel should hire a director who not |
