Everything Everything's 'Final Form' Hymn to Broken Bodies

Andy Willsher

Everything Everything's run of singles from their debut 'Man Alive' has been anything but predictable. From the shuddering, stop-start funk of 'Schoolin' to the 80's inflected 'My Keyz Ur Boyfriend,' and the strident surrealism of 'Photoshop Handsome,' the three calling cards for the album have been a diverse bunch. 'Final Form,' which hits shops on Monday, gives the Manchester band's sound a darker edge.

"There was a perception we were getting because our singles were of a similar ilk," singer Jonathan Higgs tells Spinner over a pint of Guinness. "If we were like that all the time, fair enough, and we're not ashamed of anything, but at least half the album isn't like that."

'Final Form' is possibly the album's most affecting song, a quietly menacing fantasy of changing shape until life peters out.

Greg Ellis On Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides!

Posted: 04 Apr 2011 09:43 AM PDT

Greg Ellis confirms below that, of the previous Pirates Of The Caribbean installments, that the upcoming fourth installment will be most akin to the first film, Curse Of The Black Pearl. From DigitalSpy.com: "It should be a great movie. The first time in 3D, the first time with a new director, Rob Marshall, and he was a great man to work with. It will look slightly different because of the 3D element and I think the story is more similar to the first film. I'm really looking forward to watching it myself. It's a simpler story to understand, it's basically a race between three ships. Also with Ian McShane as BlackBeard, I mean it doesn't get scarier than that! All my scenes are with Geoffrey Rush and Kevin McNally and we had a real blast, but as soon as you throw Ian into that mix, it's fun times." He added that he had to stand

Andy Heyward will produce The Governator along with comic book legend Stan Lee. The show hasn't found a network at this time. She appears regularly on Oprah, serves as editor-at-large for O, The Oprah Magazine and has now morphed her satellite radio program, "The Gayle King Show," into a series on the newly hatched OWN network. We ordered up a round of straight talk with her at NYC's Mandarin Oriental Hotel, where King made it clear why she's the kind of gal you want in your corner...
