Mark Millar Briefly Updates The Status On Sequels To Wanted & Kick-Ass Posted: 23 Apr 2011 10:07 AM PDT While chatting with SUPER HERO HYPE about his recently debuted Kapow! Con, the topic of discussion changed to movie adaptions, in which Millar tackled the subject of the movie sequels to his graphic novel Wanted & his comic mini series Kick-Ass: What's happening with the sequel to "Wanted"? MM: "It's almost like a riddle. "Wanted" made so much money, but it cost $70 million but they made $250, so they want a sequel, but they killed off the reason that it made that money, so they're trying to figure out a way of bringing Angelina back from the dead, and they can't figure it out. Every month or so I'll talk to the guys at Universal, and they'll say 'We'll talk to some screenwriters, we'll do another draft', and Angelina's like 'my character's dead, I'm not coming back.' There's been two or three screenplays. And "Kick-Ass 2"? MM: "Kick-Ass 2," just not sure. We're |

Iron Man 3 to Be Co-Written by Shane Black Posted: 23 Apr 2011 09:07 AM PDT In late March, Marvel Studios anounced that Drew Pearce was coming on to write Iron Man 3, with new director Shane Black closely overseeing this first draft. Sources today claim that Black will actually be co-writing the screenplay with Pearce. Shane Black made his directorial debut with 2005's Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang, but is best known for his screenplay work throughout the 80s, having created the films Lethal Weapon, The Monster Squad, and The Last Boy Scout. The majority of Iron Man 3's storyline is being created by Shane Black, with intent for it to be a mystery thriller with real life villains. It is believed that Drew Pearce was brought in to curb Shane Black's notoriously R rated writing style, as Walt Disney Pictures wants to keep the film family friendly. Others claim that is false. Iron Man 3 comes to theaters May 3rd, 2013 and stars Robert Downey Jr.. The film is directed by Shane Black. |
