Go see Thor in whatever dimension you want. Posted: 26 Apr 2011 09:58 AM PDT First things first. The reason I started a new topic is because My comment would disappear into the sea of comments already there. Firstly I'm a firm believer in don't see a movie in 3-D if it was not shot in 3-D. I really enjoy 3-D. I think it can take what would've been a really cool blockbuster film with a mediocre story into a film that will be talked about for ages to come. (Avatar) It can also take an animated film that is fun and turn it into a roller coaster ride. (How to Train Your Dragon) It can take a very cheesy and bad horror film and turn it into the most fun with friends you can have without taking your close off. (My Bloody Valentine in 3-D) And finally it can take a family film that is close to everyone's heart and give you a literal window into their world. (Toy Story 3) 3-D is cool. I think that having stuff be thrown at your face is cheap thrills but having depth in a film can be extremely effective. Not all films need 3-D. I wouldn't watch the Kings Speech in it. But a film like Inception I think could translate the three dream layers literally into three plains. Who want's to wear glasses while watching a movie. I do. Who really gives a shit. If you don't want to wear them then don't buy a 3-D TV and don't wear the glasses. If you don't want it then shut the fuck up. I see having a 3-D TV as having a projector. When your mom or sister or girlfriend or whoever wants to watch Grey's Anatomy in the middle of the day you wouldn't pull out the projector. But if it's Friday night and you just bought Tron: Legacy and you have popcorn, candy, and soda. It would be fun to watch the movie. 3-D when used right is awesome and I can see it here to stay. Just give it a chance. It's new, expensive, and bulky just like cell phones were. It will get better. [link] [1 comment] |
Which is better: Ang Lee's 'Hulk' or 'The Incredible Hulk'? Posted: 26 Apr 2011 08:54 AM PDT I have to say, I prefer 'the original' on every level. Eric Bana vs. Edward Norton is debatable.. I feel Bana brought more gravitas to the role. Jennifer Connelly > Liv Tyler.. 'nuff said. [link] [13 comments] |
