James McAvoy On His Longtime Love Of The X-Men And His Favourite Mutant!

Posted: 12 Apr 2011 10:33 AM PDT

The actor, who has a leading role as Professor Charles Xavier in June's X-Men: First Class, was quizzed by The Wall Street Journal at the premiere of his latest movie The Conspirator last night about his role in the movie and his longtime love of the characters. "I was a fan of the X-Men cartoon growing up as a teenager," McAvoy said. "The first couple of movies as well were really good, but I never read the comic books cause we didn't get them in my country." Interesting how he mentions that only the first couple of movies were good, eh? Of course, he's not wrong when you compare them to X-Men: The Last Stand and X-Men Origins: Wolverine, but here's hoping that this also means that the upcoming prequel will definitely have nothing to do with either of them! That's not to say he's not looking forward to putting his own stamp

Wonder Woman Could Wear the Classic Costume After All?

Posted: 12 Apr 2011 10:11 AM PDT

If you were one of the many fans who thought the more "subdued" version Of Wonder Woman's costume that Adrianne Palicki was seen wearing in the LA set photo's recently was in response to the fans "outcry" over the "shiny" costume revealed from the pilot, you would be wrong. It seems that not only will those two costumes both appear in the upcoming television show but according to NBC president Robert Greenblatt there is a third version that remains to be seen and it sounds like it could involve a more "classic" look. Greenblatt had the following to say to TVLine. "There was an initial outcry about the long pants – you know, skintight pants as opposed to those little shorts [worn by Lynda Carter in the original TV series]. But the shorts were always planned. They are actually used in the final confrontation when she beats Veronica Cale (played by

New Trailer For Priest

Posted: 12 Apr 2011 10:05 AM PDT

A Vampire western about a warrior priest who disobeys church law by teaming with a young sheriff and a priestess to track down a band of renegade vampires who have kidnapped his niece. Based on the graphic novel by Min-Woo Hyung. Priest is directed by Scott Stewart, and hits May 13th. I wasn't a big fan of Legion(putting it mildly), Scott's previous collaboration with Bettany. But this does look pretty good. Then again, so did Legion!

Second Cowboys & Aliens Trailer Set To Debut Later This Week!

Posted: 12 Apr 2011 09:48 AM PDT

Based on the graphic novel by Scott Mitchell Rosenberg, Cowboys & Aliens starts in 1800s Arizona, where the local cowboys, headed by gunslinger Zeke Jackson, and the indigenous Apache tribe have been feuding fiercely for quite a while. Their skirmish is interrupted, however, by the appearance of a spaceship, commanded by an alien creature that's bent on enslaving the human race. It's time for a six-gun shoot-out between these cattle rustlers and space invaders, and there might even be a temporary peace between the cowboys and Indians as they both take aim at these extraterrestrial uninvited guests. Jon Favreau directs from a script by Star Trek scribes Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, with help from Lost's Damon Lindelof. Olivia Wilde, Harrison Ford, and Sam Rockwell fill out the headlining cast. Here's what Jon Favreau revealed via his Twitter feed just a few minutes ago. Starring Daniel Craig, Olivia Wilde and Harrison Ford, Cowboys

"The scores really suck," Wilkinson admitted, adding, "That's the way it goes. I didn't do a perfect job and I got the scores I got... and that's the way it goes."

Kirstie Loses Her Shoe During Her Performance!

Kendra revealed a mistake during her waltz that cost her valuable points. "I had three missteps. It sucks because I didn't mean to do it. It just happened."

Oh Land Opens Up About Frustrations Over Bjork Comparisons

Considering Oh Land sees music an extension of self, you can understand why the Danish-born singer-songwriter hasn't taken kindly to being compared to fellow Scandinavian singer Bjork.

"When I'd just started making music, I found it a little bit frustrating because I felt like I was nothing like Bjork," Oh Land tells Spinner. "I can see why people would refer to Bjork when they listen to my music, but I know my voice is nothing like Bjork's -- we sound completely different.

"But I think I've turned it into a compliment," she adds. "Now I just feel it makes it easier for people to quickly kind of know, [and] I think it's fine. Every time you meet a new person, [it's like], 'oh you remind me of this person' until you get to know them that well -- [and then] you only see that person."
